LSU Freshman QB

Any team in the country can have a freshman come in and look like a qb, except us. For some reason, nobody thinks ours can ever be ready. I don't know that he's gonna be goid, but ours can't be as bad as it is now.

Brennan got injured. Before that he was putting up better numbers than Burrow did last year. My goodness some of you are dumb.

Announcers haven't shut up for 15 minutes about how Brennan has lost his job now, and should enter the transfer portal.

He had a capable back up ready for SEC play. That seems like a plan.
I don't think we know what UT has behind JG... they never get a chance to show it.

I don't know if Maurer played today because he won the #2 spot or simply because he didn't play last week. But whoever #2 is... they should have played most of the 2nd half with the 1st O and had the opportunity to do something other than run the clock out.

Absolutely!
Pruitt talks out of both sides of his mouth.
One, saying players should be able to play multiple positions, because you never know when COVID could hit.
Yet he refuses to have an experienced backup QB that could be one play away from having to enter the game from injury or Covid to the starter.
Him playing a 5th year senior that has no upside to his anemic game, makes it even more of a palm face situation.
So, I take it he believes in having depth everywhere else except for the most important position, QB

It’s insane that we can never have a freshman play, and the media always agrees with the coaching staff saying that our freshman are not ready. And you can’t use Covid as an excuse LSU was hit harder with Covid than anyone.

In my way of thinking, a HC has to step back from "he gives us the best chance of success" now... and look at which guy you should play to give yourself the best chance for MORE wins over the next 4 years.

I don't know what UT has in HB. I've stated an unpopular opinion that I do not see the "elite" arm or delivery that you expect with a 5*. I've also said that I'm more excited about Salter than I am HB. Regardless, whichever of the other 3 that appears to have more upside should play NOW. IMHO, any advantage JG's experience offers would disappear over the next 3 or 4 games and you'd have a guy helping the O get better.
