Can't blame them, but still think its interesting to see how little respect TN is getting from other teams fans. Not worried in the slightest about coming into Neyland.
LSU -15. Am I missing something here? @ TigerDroppings.com
Tennessee wasn't supposed to win last year either, but they almost pulled it off. This has all the makings of a trap game on the road. LSU has proven to be a team that is difficult to distract, but they will need to maintain that focus every week including this one. Thanks for the uplifting words, but lets be real here. You and most others on this site know UT doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell. Miracles happen, but i have serious doubts that one will this Saturday.
If Vols pull off the huge upset I will be on the field as goalposts are removed even though I am sitting in upper deck.
This team does NOT deserve respect. Neyland Stadium was rocking on Saturday night, and that didn't stop a mediocre Georgia team from coming in and taking a W. Our running stats look like a high school team's playing the exact same opponents. It is the run game that is awful. Our defense didn't do great, but how in the Hell can you win in this conference with a DT who's more suited for a DE, a defensive back converted from a WR, and a LB who just two years ago was starting at FB? Wake up, guys. This team is young. This team is not as talented. This team is inexperienced. Not a single damn one of us on here could do ANY better than these coaches who are busting their asses with the pieces they've been given. I know for a fact that if I was Dooley, I probably would have jumped out of my office window by now. Instead, he's in there dusk until dawn trying to beat these opponents with well-executed strategy because he certainly knows we don't match up talent-wise. This offensive line is scared against equal or better talent. Saturday's pass protection didn't even look good, but normally it has been decent.
The best we can hope for is that team toughs out October, plays a lights-out November, and makes a bowl game. Nothing more, nothing less. Rome wasn't built in a day. Continue to represent the Big Orange. Our time is coming. These guys on the offensive line are still only sophomores. They'll learn a lot between now and next year. They'll also get bigger, faster, and stronger in the offseason.
As for those who legitimately want Dooley to be fired:
1) Who ACTUALLY comes in and takes this job?
2) Say with a straight face that this team has the talent to compete in the SEC.
3) Do you want to betray the trust of several recruits and current players and deal with attrition AGAIN?
We are such a spoiled fan base. Hell, I'm only a teenager, as are the recruits who think this program is irrelevant. It will take time. I don't even remember the "good ol' days." The best year I can really remember is the 2007 team. That was a team that wasn't even good for Tennessee standards.
GO COACHES. GO VOLS. GO VOLNATION.
If UT loses by 3-5 TDs Saturday, as seems likely, just remember Nov 7, 1959: #1 LSU, NC in 1958, Heisman Trophy winner Billy Cannon at RB, comes to Shields Watkins Field. Vols score 2 TDs, the first given up by LSU all season. Late in the game the Tigers drive and score, making it 14-13, UT. LSU goes for 2 to take the lead. Gives the ball to Cannon; then comes the most famous defensive play in UT history - The Stop: Bill Majors, Wayne Grubb and Charley Severance stop Cannon at the 1/2 yard line. Tennessee goes on to win, 14-13.

Howdy,
I am coming to the LSU vs UT game this weekend for my first SEC game. My friend is a grad coach for UT so I am looking for tailgate ideas anyone have any suggestions? Things I have to see before the game?
Sadly, there is a 95% chance they beat us by more than 4 touchdowns IMO.
ONLY way we keep it close is if they just do not show up to play. Which they don't seem to be doing this year. The next two games could be the worst back to back beatdowns in Tennessee history. Only going to get worse before it gets better.
