Will not happen but LSU offered to play game at Death Valley and Florida refused repeatedly. SEC should have step in or make Florida forfeit...

Or make LSU drop their South Alabama game so the two can play in November.

They supposedly offered to play on Sat/Sun in Baton Rouge, but the SEC cited that the biggest issue would be traveling when they're unsure what the aftermath of this storm would be (whatever the conditions were after the storm, UF would have about a day to get 150 or more plus equipment ready for that trip).

ESPN has also reported that to make up for being postponed due to weather, UF offered to cancel its game against Presbyterian on Nov. 19, saying that LSU could cancel its game against South Alabama and the two would play their game that date (the week before UF plays FSU and the week before LSU plays A&M). However, at this point, LSU had refused to drop the South Alabama home game and do such.

Yeah I see that the SEC has a point, travel could be screwy if there are widespread power outages. That can be a big challenge after a hurricane even that far inland.

Not sure I can fault LSU for refusing to drop the South Alabama game. They were more than willing to accommodate UF this weekend. This is an extreme circumstance but it seems like UF is being pretty stubborn.

Of all the SEC teams LSU is way down my hate list. I hate Florida, Georgia, Bama,Vandy, Arky, SC, Ole Miss and Auburn much more.

Hey, since they're off now, and they're closer to A&M than most of us, can they send a ton of fans to the game to cheer for us and sing Rocky Top????? I'll pitch in for some tickets as long as they're coming from an A&M fan...

In a nutshell, there are no current plans to make up the game. IF, the Vols lose 2 conference games and finish at 6-2 in the conference and Florida wins out, they will go to the SEC championship game with a 6-1 record trumping our 6-2 record.

Hurricane postpones LSU/UF game. SEC says it will look to find a way to reschedule it later in the year if possible.

LSU offered for the game to be played in Baton Rouge prior.

SEC offices felt with how bad the storm might potentially have ended up being, it wasn't realistic to play the game the Sunday or Monday afterwards (among other reasons, the chance that all the security and police UF normally uses for their games would not be available for the game, as they'd be involved with more pressing disaster relief).

UF offered to straight up cancel its Nov. 19 FCS game and play LSU then, LSU turned that down wanting to keep its game against South Alabama (there's some word that the conference might have covered the buyouts but who knows).

Lots of UT fans freaking out.

The SEC and NCAA needs to step in and make these clowns play on the 19th!

No, they should have forced UF to play this weekend.

If the game on the 19th is given up by LSU, Florida should have to pay LSU for a lost home game.

Florida has dragged ass on this. They should be the ones forced to compensate LSU for any adjustments that must be made.

screw them.

If they lose to Ole Miss (likely) LSU will have ZERO interest in playing the game and probably wont be ready to play if they do have to show up.
