What does LSU think about the rumors of Miles to Michigan and Pelini to Nebraska?

Pellini -- Before the Arkansas game, I think a lot of people were a little upset that he was going to be leaving. After it, they seem to have changed their mind and wish him the best, lol. It's funny how a loss w/ a lot on the line changes things.

Miles -- It's kind of strange to me. Seems to be a "Thanks for all you've done/Sorry to hear you're leaving/Time to hire someone to keep the train rolling" type of feeling.

Personally, I hope he stays. Lol, I know I'll probably get bashed for that, but the man is 32-6 as a head coach at LSU. His first loss to an unranked team came Friday against Arkansas, and they're now #25 in the coaches poll. The other 5 losses all came to ranked teams, w/ 4 of them on the road.

To me, this is the SEC of today, you can't EXPECT to go undefeated. Sure, I'm disappointed this season. I'd be lying to you guys if I said that I wasn't. Friday was as tough a loss that I've been a part of as a Tiger fan. But we've still got a shot at the SEC title this Saturday, and in the overall scheme of things, that's not too bad. How easy LSU fans forget the days of Curly Hallman & Gerry Dinardo and the absolute mess that was the 90's.

So bash Miles for being a horrible public speaker, or bash him for his questionable calls, and I'll probably agree with you. But to call him a horrible coach, at 32-6, I just can't see the logic in that. No matter what kind of talent he's been left.

I could have gone undefeated with any of the dynasty UCLA hoops teams. Does that make me a quality coach?

Nah, hang around enough opposing teams message boards to where the corndog reference doesn't bother me. Lol, actually, I don't think it's EVER bothered me. It honestly doesn't have that much relation to a Tiger Fan, we don't grow a whole lot corn down here and we don't (as far as I know) eat a whole lot of corndogs. Just an Auburn fan, that stole it from an Iowa fan, in reference to Nebraska fans, where it actually makes a little sense.

You guys should come up w/ something a little better, maybe something w/ sugarcane/crawfish/gumbo/illiterate people/fried food , hell anything that actually ties in to Louisiana people, and something we might take offense to.

We played Laffeyette this year so I was able to do a cajun theme. :)

Who will LSU have their coaching eyes on?

Fulmer.............lol, j/k :)

I really don't know. There's so many names being tossed around right now. You've got anything from "Rich Rodriguez/Jack Del Rio/Schiano/Petrino" to the more delirious "Saban/Spurrier/Tubberville".

I don't have a clue though. They say Del Rio has a lot of ties to Louisiana, but a lot of people aren't sold on him (including me). I'll put my faith in the powers that be, they've had 2 in a row do pretty well, so evidently they know what they're doing.

Just wanted to stop by and tell you guys congratulations on winning the east. Saturday's game should be another good one to add to the series. :toast: to a safe trip, and to an injury free game.

Welcome to VolNation. :hi: You're a good representative of LSU on our board. I loved your quote about McFadden still running around Tiger Stadium. :p

someone posted on another thread that LSU would be the home team. They like to wear white at home so I'm guessing we'll be in our orange.

So what's the honest opinion about the game around here?? close game? blowout?
It depends on which Tennessee team shows up. If we get the same effort we had against UGA and Arky we may very well pull this thing out. If we get the same team that showed up against Florida and Bama it could get ugly.

Welcome to the board BTW :hi:.

Maybe we could reference fried nutria.
