LSU beats Bama

Jeudy, Ruggs, Waddle, Smith etc are impossible to stop with Tua under center there isn’t a team that can do it this year

Jeudy already has 10 rec touchdowns! Lol Ruggs 7!!

Bama has weapons all over the field.

If Tua is connecting on all his throws without pressure, it’s going to be a long day for LSU’s defense.

Burrow is a legit dual-threat type guy, maybe not Michael Vick but he has enough speed to make you pay the price (ask Georgia) and he's actually quite a bit larger than most people think and does run over people. They haven't been running him as much as LSU only has one other scholarship QB on the roster if he gets hurt, but he is a tough runner, and he is getting pretty good at the ROP as well. Burrow has got to be a difference maker, and the defense is going to have to keep it in the 20-30s instead of the 40s+. Aranda LSU defense has only given up 30+ twice and one was TAM in what was kind of a blowout win by LSU, the most LSU has given up since Mississippi State last year (37) has been 27 points. LSU has to keep it in the lower 30s somehow.

Burrow is a good runner, I would expect more designated run plays for him this game.... there is no tomorrow, but the defense needs to get some stops.
If they run Burrow he will get hurt. He absolutely and positively isn't going to run over anyone on the Bama defense.

Tua has never played in Death Valley at night. The way some of you talk makes it sound like Bama should just be declared the champs and not bother playing anyone else since they're the finest most invincible team to ever step foot on a field. Gimme a break. That defense is good but not even Saban's best. Tua is a little gimpy, and if the crowd and press coverage can throw off his rhythm, LSU has a shot. Stranger things have happened.

Bama SHOULD just be declared champs. You’ll see Saturday night and I will gladly eat that crow, but it ain’t happening.

So tired of all the talking heads spouting off about college football all season. They have to manufacture competivenes at this point. Who’s good, who isn’t, what the other 3 playoff teams will be, Death Valley at night...etc. Give me a break. It’s all academic. There is no parity. It’s Bama then everyone else. It sucks, it’s boring, it is what it is.

Even if they lose they go to the playoffs. Think about that. Bama is at a point where they don’t even have to win the conference to be national champions.

The better team doesn't always win. Even if they're paid well and juiced up.

I think if LSU special teams get at least one score along with that D it’ll be interesting, LSU rb’s have to run the ball effectively moving the chains, or they smother Burrow. Most important LSU has to be unpredictable on play selection.

The other sad part is Bama wins no matter what. Even if they lose, it just makes their path to the playoffs easier.

best case scenario - LSU wins but loses another game and GA beats Bama in the SECCG or LSU wins and Bama also loses to Auburn

They've won it twice this decade now without even winning their division.

Watching Alabama football now is about like watching USA basketball. They're so far ahead of everyone else it's pointless and boring.

Watch without devin white they will have huge problems defending bama in first half

They have decent DL but no pass rush since apparently Chaisson was the only legit pass rusher they had who went out in first game of year

Yea unless divinity and some other LB steps up big time like some unknown and balls out like white hard to see LSU even keeping it close going into first half

It's possible obviously. Even for Alabama, getting through the regular season without a loss is hard to pull off.
Only happened once in his tenure as coach in 2009. 14-0. Yes I agree it’s very tough to go undefeated in football. If it happens again with Bama this year that might be the last unbeaten season for Saban...

That needs to change. If you aren’t conference champ you don’t go to the playoffs. It just sucks Bama is in the committee’s back pocket or they pay ppl off to get a spot. Bama shouldn’t have went last year. They weren’t conference champs. The four spots need to be SEC champ ACC champ B1G champ and Big 12 champ period!!!

It's been heading in this direction for the last few years, but college football is currently more like the NBA than a lot of people here would like to admit. Alabama is so much better than everyone else this year that it really makes you question what the rest of the sport is doing. Alabama's dominance this year says more about the rest of the sport than it does Alabama.

Yeah, Tua's never played in Death Valley at night. He also was inserted midway through the national title game last year as a true freshman and led his team to a comeback victory. I still can't wrap my head around exactly how Saban pulls stuff like this off. If Tua went to another big time program (just say Texas A&M, LSU, or USC since those were the other big programs that offered him), and he was currently playing, I bet he'd be at that stage in his career where he'd show flashes of brilliance but would also make young mistakes that cost his team games.

Instead, at Alabama, he has the command of the offense and the demeanor of a 5th year senior.

LSU runs a good mix of RPO so he will be running the ball, we'll see if its effective or not.... my guess is he will be running more than the normal 5-7 runs a game. I would be very surprised if Alabama's defense is better than Mississippi State, but they probably don't have to be. Mississippi State has the best defense in the country, probably by a good margin over everybody. imo (Don't get me wrong, I would pick Bama in this one.) Burrow is a decent runner, he's made teams pay for not respecting the RPO.

Generally if he makes it to the line of scrimmage with a good head of steam, good chance you need 2 guys to take him down... he's a big guy. He's not Michael Vick but yes, he can get yardage even in a crowd.

He is basically a power runner, but if the RPO is not respected he has enough speed to break them. He is an effective runner but they like to limit the number due to only one other scholarship QB on the roster, for LSU to have a chance.. good decisions and he is going to have a great game. LSU probably wishes they could run him 15-20 a game, its just not a real smart move with the QB roster.

It would be good if limits taking sacks (which he had issues with early) and can get some key runs, but don't be surprised if he is running straight up the gut on power runs... basically what they started doing against Ole Miss and Georgia.
