Tigers crushed Sunday by Appy State 11-1 and lose the series 2-1. After last season failure I never understood how LSU was automatically ranked high in 2012.

So far the biggest SEC disappointments have have been Vandy and LSU. Tennessee and Auburn have been surprises. Georgia playing better too.

Without good LSU, the west is mediocre at best.

The Saturday win for App St. 1-0 was the first time LSU was shut out since 2004.

Maybe it's reputation. Florida State has underachieved since losing in the Orange Bowl but it hasn't prevented them from getting ranked in the top 25.

As for Tennessee being a surprise I would say wait until they play non division teams that went far last year in the playoffs even if they didn't get to the CWS, and division games.

Georgia went through growing pains in the 2010 season, not surprised they are winning right now.

Will vandy be unranked soon?

Would be shocked if they aren't. Oregon made the Music City their home away from home, the moral victory Vandy made the Ducks sweat in the 3rd game but could not complete a comeback losing 7-6.

Woooooohooo app state. Arrowood is just a beast. 7 innings 2 hits 10 ks. Two separate strings of 5 straight ks. Retired 16 straight at one point.

That's shoving.
