Lowest attended Orange and White game ever?

I turned over to the Bama game and there were not many fans there either. They also looked pretty lethargic and uninterested.

Same thing at Georgia....at least the last 25 freakin minutes anyway.

I would have gone in a downpour if they actually played a game. I don't care about a scripted event such as this.

I agree. I lost interest in the spring game since Butch has been here. I would much rather watch a full scrimmage instead of all these drills any day of the week!

On TV you could see a few folks in upper level. Couldn't help wondering if ushers made them go up there or they chose to do so.

Curious how attendance is for today.

1. Weather is meh
2. coming off a crap year
3. no actual game
4. radio has been really talking the event down this year also....

I can't wait to hear what the numbers are.

crap year would be those consecutive 5-7s we were rolling out. But yeh i get what youre sayin to an extent

I was at one in the 80s where there were less than 10K there. Very, very cool with wind and sprinkles. back then it was not promoted and there were many with a small number of fans

The first one that I attended was in 98; it was rainy, and a much smaller crowd than today. Maybe this is a good sign.

We've had a lot of spring games lower attended than this one. Only recently when butch began to hype up attendance for recruiting purposes have they been particularly large.(Except '86)

So how many years will it take Butch to have enough depth to actually have spring game in a real game format?

Even if we had great weather, I do not care to keep watching that type of spring game. jmo though.

Someone posted information in another thread - lowest looked to be 6,500 in 1984.

In the Peyton years attendance was only around 20,000. 1998 game 12,500. Even after the NC in 1999 the attendance was only 15,400 - maybe it was weather as well.

The last four years (with CBJ at the helm) attendance has been 60,000+. Say what you will about the format - it has worked for the past 4 years.

Yes this is a joke the way we play a socalled game i watch bama and the Dawgs and they play a up tempo real game so they both are way ahead of us right now.:thud:

Gimmicky format, wet weather expected, And there's racing in Bristol. That's what kills attandance.

Folks didn't show up in droves when it was a format like a game. I don't think the format has anything to do with how well attended the game is.

It is about the weather, other activities that may be happening on the same day and the hype around the team.

Sterl the Pearl still got enough arm to heave one 48 years.

Of course, JJ was 53 yards away.

Dormady had a great day!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to have to learn how to spell his name.

Probably looked as if they were watching a . . . practice.
