I think Petrino is your best option because we already know he can win big in the SEC.
Also your troubles at QB would be over.

He took a 3* recruit and turned him into a heisman winner.

Only concerns with him would be his baggage and defense.

Hire a good Defensive Coordinator and you won't have to worry about defense.

As for the baggage I wouldn't worry about it too much unless he starts riding motorcycles again.

No thanks. That's like saying a short fat guy with a bad haircut who currently micromanages a despicable dictatorship has the skills and experience to run a decent democratic country. After all they even include "Democratic" and "Republic" in the country's name. He'd probably hit it off with the Haslams though.

AD Currie should be taking his rear up to Pullman, WA an offer Mike Leach $6 Millon a year + and give him whatever he needs to run your program. This farting around and playing games is only going to make matters worse.

You know what? Maybe they should. If they don't want to compete for real...and let UT stay in the basement of the SEC...just move to another conference where they are more comfortable.

Currie has been exposed as a needle nosed, nauseating cliche spewing dweeb. He's got a sinister look about him. He probably wanted to be a cop so he could abuse the power and get even with all the bullies who picked on him as a boy...but decided he was so good at lying and BS that he could reach higher goals...and here he is.

His career as an AD is shot. He'll find another gig where he can BS his way through. Say all the right things in an interview. Come off as a go getter talking about mission statements blahblahblah.

You know UT was fine and successful before the corrupt and cowardly Haslam family came and took over..and we'll be fine if they leave. How do we get em out? I don't have a clue. They are entrenched. I hope the governor gets his azz handed to him in the next election. They ruined the Browns. Thought it'd be a great idea to hire a BASEBALL metrics guy for their football team..and look where it's got them. These are the type of buffoons we are dealing with.

I'm remembering the days when many of us, especially those of us living in Nashville ( at the time), respectfully suggested that Vandy would be a lot happier in the ACC, maybe even the OVC.
Funny how things change given enough time, and a sufficient dose of incompetence.
