Lowe says Kirkland out at last 3-4 weeks.

Can we at least give Jumper a chance? he seems to be a good leader and smart on the field. Let him be the leader he was born to be. Sorry if he isn't fast enough for you all.

As long as we win i dont care, but fans believe they have given him a chance in all games leading up to this. His lack of tackling screams let someone else have a shot.

So who do ypu have beating Bama? Ole Miss I am sure is one. And then we have you saying Auburn handling Clemson. LOL.

Their OL is weak? Ok. LOL.

Bama will lose at Tennessee and at LSU.

And FYI I never said Auburn would "handle" Clemson. I only said the game would be close and come down to the 4th quarter. It was everyone else predicting a Clemson blowout.

I was also one of the few people all off-season that didn't have Clemson as a juggernaut. I said they would fall into the same malaise that struck Ohio State last year.

Great post--- I think the problem here...all the way back to opening day last year against Bowling Green

Interestingly, looks like he shed a great block to make a nice solo tackle, play 2/drive 1 of that opener (after Maggitt was just juked behind los / missed the tackle -- but that's ok).

The malaise of losing one game all season on a last second field goal. Oh the horror for Clemson fans. THE HORROR!

So I make an initial diagnosis based on video I watched and I get ripped for it. I adjusted my initial impression slightly after watching the video repeatedly but I said min 4-8 wks. I don't know if the reports are true that he is out 4-6 weeks but I want you guys to know I have a lot of experience in this arena and I won't project anything that I'm not quite confident about. DK will be back to full strength this season but it will be late in the season most likely.

Actually according to 247s composite rankings we are #9 in the country based on recruiting rankings.

I go by the future NFL players. We're one of the two most talented teams in terms of future NFL studs.

Only team with as much (if not more) talent than us is Florida State.

I would rate the top 5 most talented teams in college right now as:

1a. Florida State
1b. Tennessee
3. Alabama
4. LSU
5. Ohio State
You go by whatever uneducated thought that passes through that little head of yours.

A few weeks ago everyone was saying they were a lock for the playoffs.

So yes losing to Florida State and missing the playoffs would be a collosal failure for this team.

Just like losing at home to a Michigan State team Alabama beat 38-0 was a collosal failure for a team with 5 first round picks like 2015 Ohio State.

What happened to Dillon Bates? I'd like to see him get a shot. Still have to wonder if Colton Jumpers dad isn't the reason he is playing, because we have some highly rated prospects behind him. They can't all be slower can they?

FSU is the more athletic team with more high level NFL players. Dalvin Cook and Derwin James are perenial pro-bowl caliber players in the NFL.

If they met, it would go a lot like Ohio State/Alabama matchup two years ago.

Alabama I believe is overrated this season. Their QB, RB, and OL is weak. Teams with great defensive lines (like Tennessee) will expose that. The defense is still the best and that will keep them in games.

I got Alabama going 10-2 this year and missing out on the playoffs. FSU will win 11-12 games in the regular season and make it to the national title game.

If Alabama's running back is weak, then what is strong?

Most of my family are Buckeye fans and I have a first cousin who actually played offensive line for them in the 90's. He was pretty happy about their season last year. He had hoped for more, but he knows that there are a ton of things that have to happen for a team to go undefeated. It wasn't a colossal failure, unless of course you're really stupid.

If we ever win a national title and return 95% of the production the following year. And somehow not make it back, it'll be a collosal failure.

so muscles makes someone good? This is football, not body building....some people.

16 carries for 55 yards this year. So yeah, weak.

I was actually just talking about the fact that he is strong AF. However, I'm pretty pumped to hear that he hasn't done anything in the run game so far. Hadn't had a chance to check their stats.

Living in Alabama, I'm always around Bama fans unfortunately. They were so sure this guy was the next Heisman winner. It's been fun seeing him fall in to the line over and over so far.

If I was Shoop, I'd play as many different combinations at LB as possible against Ohio with JRM obviously being one of the two. That way we know who will give us our best shot the next week against Florida. Sometimes people perform better in games versus practice. Don't want to beat a dead horse, but I'm not sure that I'll ever feel comfortable with Jumper out there. I'd rather put one of our faster DE's or DB's out there and play with one LB before we put CJ at MLB.

In recruiting, butch needs to find a couple of 5 star LBs to match the talent at alabama.

He would just put a skinny, slow 0 star walk on in the game instead.and hide the 5Stars til they practice better..but that just an opinion and everybody has one.
