In every single recruiting class, there are guys who are rated a 1 or a 2 that turn into a player that one least expected. Examples include Colt McCoy and Sam Bradford.

In these classes this decade, for the exception of Kiffin's, what were some low star recruits, that were deemed as projects, that turned into best kept secret gems for the program.

Does it have to be for the Vols??? Patrick Willis is the most shocking 2 star recruit I have ever seen

Patrick Willis. Fulmer didn't even know he existed and he was from Tennessee...
