Loved the New (Old) Unis (SIAP)

I always thought only those who couldn't stand on their own tradition did weird stuff to their unis. I mean I don't lose sleep over this stuff, but I think this return to the "classic" Vols look is a good start to this programmatic attitude adjustment taking place.

No more BS. Put on the Orange and white or the all whites or even the white and orange pants but just keep it simple. Get rid of that generic smokey grey crap that looks like every other team's grey unis and get back to UT football.

Alabama doesn't change their unis with the wind. Michigan doesn't change their unis with the wind. USC doesn't change their unis with the end. Penn State doesn't change their unis with the wind. The Yankees nor the Red Sox do either.

And neither should the UT Vols football team. It's an iconic brand.

I was disappointed when they announced the solid white pants as a tribute to 98. But, the first second I saw the team coming from the tunnel, I immediately changed my mind. They looked tough, especially combined with the black cleats and orange jerseys. Classic. I liked it.
