Love for Tauren

This is the first I have heard about this fumbling problem, all I have ever heard is praise about him on the field. I have watched all his spring games and I haven't seen it...

That's
Possible, but we will find out because he will get a real chance this year. And I'm sure he has something to prove.

Even if tp runs for 1200 yards this season, it doesn't mean he was "cheated" out of a chance last season.

It also doesn't mean that Brown and Oku weren't promised playing time as a recruiting pitch by the former staff. I'm not saying that is for sure what happened, but believing that could not possibly have been it shows a general lack of knowledge about college football recruiting. Politics is very prominent in sports.

We both have our opinions and I hope he does run for that many yards.

If that's what it took for Oku to sign with UT, then he must have received a similar promise from Fulmer, since he had already been committed before he was fired.

Yup, Tauren Poole bleeds all orange...was it twice, or just once there was a rumor he was transferring to Georgia Tech? I could have sworn there were two threads about it during the season. But hey, he's ALL ORANGE!!!!!

Was it really worth playing an injured Bryce Brown (who would eventually get injured against VT) to keep Poole on the bench? I mean, I guess if TP was just putting it on the ground left and right but just seems a bit odd.

Bryce was a pretty good backup last year. Still a little raw, but Poole's problem is fumbling from both previous coaching staffs.

Does Oku have the same problem? Why was he ahead of Poole with Kiffin's staff and behind him now?

I don't believe Oku does. I believe his is following your line, not always trying to break the big run. Also we hardly ever used three backs in a game, and by the time of the Va. Tech game, Poole was third-string.

Correct, also remember that Oku de-committed after the coaching change before eventually deciding to sign. :good!: These are just possibilities, as are the points you are making. It's just funny to see you and others laugh and make fun of other posters when they could easily be just as right as you think you are.

I have no doubt that Tauren Poole will be good, but I also have no doubt that Bryce Brown would be every bit as good if he were here and healthy.

A lot of the "Kiffin screwed Poole out of PT" is just sour grapes.

No he didn't. But I'm not convinced he still would have stayed if Kiffin was here. He could have transferred after spring practice. I'm just saying before we start claiming Poole the King of Rocky Top, about 9 months ago reports had him gone.

I understand but at least he has stuck with it. I can also see why he might have gotten frustrated and thought about leaving.

So you understand why Bryce is leaving then? He's got a pretty decent excuse also.

I understand why Bryce wants to leave and i don't blame him. But Poole handled it much better than Bryce.

Bryce definitely could have handled it better, but I have a gut feeling he wasn't the one handling it all.
