Is there a way you could filter the results by positions to see where Clark and Smith rank respectively?

even more telling is that we, being a diverse scoring bunch, hold Tyler's stats way back.

UL, on the other hand, needs all of the scoring they can get, yet Big Earl is still a statistically worse player.

Here is my opinion on the game. I think Louisville will win, but I'm only giving them a 60%-40% edge. Simply put, Louisville is playing their best basketball right now, and UT has yet to do so. In order for the vols to win they need to have more offensive boards, and either lofton or jajuan need to be hot from beyond the arc for a majority or entirety of the game. If one of them is hot early, but cools off, it could hurt more than help, bc I think they will force more shots and could allow louisville to creep back into it. The vols haven't been able to put their foot on the opponent's throat and pull away so far this postseason, they will get a double digit lead then go cold and the other team will get right back in it, and I have a bad feeling that will eventually catch up with them. If it is primarily an inside game, I worry about UT's rebounding and interior defense, I think they can get their offensive points, but second chance points for the cards scares me. Plus, if it comes down to Tennessee hitting FTs at the end, I'll be nervous as hell too, especially if Ramar or JP end up at the line.

First you had to run to the louisville board to get support for your arguements. Second, You are like some of the Louisville fans that are pretenders but not contenders. An image in your own mind. Third, you should reduce the amount of alcohol you consume because your brain was damage by your severe Meth habit. but UT is just as athletic as Louisville.. but in different ways.. we are quicker, faster, and work harder with more hustle plays.. while they are allready tall.. they can just out rebound opponents because all there forwards are 6'9" and taller and can jump.. there long and lanky, while we have the quickness..

i live in Louisville and everyday i here how they (UL) are going to dominate down in the post. i hope we blow them out. UL's strength is defense and their "big men" if we show up I believe we will have few problems.

1. 60-40 is quite large for two teams with top talent.

2. Louisville is 2-2 in their last 4 games

3. Louisville sucks at FT shooting like we do.

4. Their offensive rebounding isn't great

good point, VIA. I'll be honest, I haven't seen louisville much and don't know a lot of their stats. I'm going more off gut feelings and what has worried me about UT's last 2 games than season long evidence from either team. Not exactly the most solid form of reasoning, I know. :p

1. It seemed small to me...maybe 55% chance for louisville and 45% for UT is better? Basically, I think it is kind of a toss up, but my gut says Louisville (right now).

2. I was only going off of their tourney games, and I'm having a hard time not putting a lot of stock in their manhandling of OU, even though OU is not a very good team. I think that game gave them a sizable momentum and confidence boost.

3. I was meaning if UT was up late and it was close, I am nervous about UT being able to hit their FTs and ice the game. I know Louisville's FT shooting is bad, and their offense is iffy, but leaving the game close and giving them more chances by missing FTs in the end leaves the door wide open for any team to come back.


4. Was American's offensive rebounding great? It just seems like UT allows smaller and less talented players to grab a good amount of offensive boards, and I'm concerned that even though Louisville isn't a great offensive rebounding team, they could look like they are against us. I'm tired of seeing the vols jump up and volley the ball around with one hand instead of going up strong and bringing the board down with 2 hands.

I know I sound like a NegaVol, but I swear I'm not. :)

Tennessee plays to its level of competition. Enough to win. Tennessee takes this game because they are very battled tested.

I think UL wins, but this is a 50/50 toss up. Louisville is a better match up for us than Butler, although the Ville is more talented. They don't cause that many turnovers, they're prone to turning it over, they don't offensive rebound better than average, and they don't get to the free throw line very much. Good match up for us.

I'm sorry VIA...but that didn't make a lot of sense to me...I think I get your drift; but...it wasn't all that clear... Are you saying that while they don't force many turneovers, they turn it over a lot. And...they aren't crazy offensive rebounders and they don't push many fouls? The beginning of your post confused me...

We left too many wide-open threes in the first half...I don't know what was going on there. But....Bruce showed some serious "pelotas" today to put JP out there as the starting PG....I hope he builds off today's experience against the ville...
