Great game MKG.

Shoulda put it away with 15 pt lead. Not to mention we got lucky with bad shooting from Siva and Co.

Louisville players are a little San-bro-dusky with the refs.

This game should end any UL discussions on how experience is better than talent. I think its safe to say Pitino is Cal's bit#$.

That's stupid. Pitino's team just isn't very good.

Vastly overrated. Decent preseason schedule combined with a few gifts from lesser teams have kept them in the top 5. Although probably a better team, it is somewhat a mirror image of Vandy. Had they won the games they were supposed to win, combined with their pre-season ranking, they would be setting around number 4 or 5 right now.

Louisville really doesn't have that good of a squad under the smoke and mirrors.

I am of the opinion that Pitino just can't recruit like he did 15 years ago. He still is a pretty darn good coach, but without that elite talent....

I agree. He is still an elite coach, better than Cal IMO. But if you take a couple of the recruits that he missed out on due to Cal, then that team is solid. Recruiting is harder overall this day and time, you no longer need attend a blue blood program to jump to the next level.

They arent very good because of talent! Hence the reasons I said that.

Siva is the best point guard you can land that wont leave after his freshman year. They also have 2 McDonalds All Americans and Kuric that is a deadly 3 point shooter alonf with a hand full of other 3 and 4 star four year players.

I'm not too sure in the comments above about Pitino being a better coach than Cal. Pitino doesnt know how to develop talent like Cal does. Those 2 McDonalds All Americans that Pitino has wont get much better at UL. You never seen any terrible players (like a Josh Harrellson) come to UL and end up being a huge star. UL has only made it to one final four in 11 years and Pitino landed a good amount of great players in that stretch. In ther prime, I'd give a very very slight edge to Pitino, but right now its Cal by a mile.
