Another "est" thread for this down time.

What's the loudest UT game you've ever attended?

Football - 1998 UF game, especially the entire overtime while UF had the ball, and the split second after the kicker missed the game-tying field goal. Ear-splitting.

Basketball - has to be the Texas game this past season, when we got a 5-sec call on them trying to throw the ball in-bounds from the sideline with about 10 sec. left. It was so loud nobody could hear the call - just saw Duke and the boys jumping up and down.

'98 Fl. I've never heard that place that loud before, the stadium was shaking. I'll never forget that

'84 Bama at Neyland...Tony Robinson's goal line dive to win it over Bama & the Bear! I had pushed my way to the outer corner of the endzone with a lot of other fans and wasn't that far from the dive. I may never hear noise like that again, but I hope to. This was the same season the Vols knocked off either top-ranked or 2nd ranked Auburn (not sure) and ole' Bo Jackson 38-20 in K'town. I was blessed enough to be there for that one too.

For me, definitely the '06 Cal game.

I was off racing sailboats in Charleston for that '98 Fla game, but I caught the 4th quarter and grand finale on TV at a house party with our team, the UF team, and a bunch of other folks. It was pretty loud in that room; I can only imagine what it was like at the game. :)

Ray Perkins was the coach for his second season. Coach Bryant retired after the '82 season and passed away 1 month later in January '83.:cray:

oops...checking to see if I have my years mixed up or I was just so young, I was under the impression Bryant was still with them; sorry, I loved the Vols from an early age but wasn't the most astute fan in those days. But either way, we still whipped yore a**!! :)

Manning's senior year in '97 at the Swamp. When T. George picked of Manning and took it to the house, I thought the Swamp was finally going to cave in.:realmad:

The Ala. game in '94, Manning's freshman year, was the loudest I ever heard Neyland. Hey ref the LG moved before the snap, but no flag and S. Williams scored. Does anyone else hate him and B. Barker more the me?:ill_h4h:

when that happened, I had like 5 people hugging me and I had no idea who they were. it was crazy

I live in Jacksonville, FL and we had a party. There were 20 Vol fans outside watching it. When that kick went threw we went nuts. The Cops showed up 5 minutes later. I bet they haven't responded that fast to anything but a Krispy Kreme hot sign.:ermm:

There's an ametuer video (probably a cell phone) of the 2004 Field Goal here YouTube - 2004 Tennessee Vols vs Florida final field goal I get chills every time the crowd starts to roar on here.

I've been to loud games at Neyland but not the classics like 98 UF or 04 UF or 06 Cal. I WAS at the UF BBall 05-06 game and that was the loudest I've ever heard TBA (and the best BBall game I've witnessed).
