Yeah-that was it. My bad. The 92 was Phiillips taking the screen/swing pass to the house in the DOWN POUR! Been some good games in Neyland. Kinda hard keeping them all straight.

I've been to all most of the games in the OP.
I was on the field for the 06 Cal game, and it was rediculously loud.

Yeah the 06 cal game was great, it was my wife's first ut game. She arrived a bammer but left a vol. we went back to Neyland the next week for the Air Force game. The 2pt conversion at the end was really loud, I remember seeing some geriatrics going nuts after the sack.

Maybe you underestimate the value of getting a sack to a geriatric.

2009 USCjr game got pretty loud!

8)Auburn 1989
9)Georgia Tech 1985(I went to the game with a GT alum)

Nice list. I attended all but your #2 and #3....unfortunately for me I didn't get to see a Tennessee victory over Bama in person until 1995 in B'ham.

GT 85....6-6 with Carlos Reveiz kicking the tying score to end it. I was there but don't recall it being loud.

What about Auburn 85? Florida '90 was another good one. You miss those?

I went to most of those except '98 Ark, '85 Tech, '09 UGA.

Good list. ND in 90 was a great crowd. I just don't recall it being that loud as UT was behind most of the game. The final TD and ensuing onside kick were extremely loud, though. Also, in that game I've never heard a louder sigh on the int in the endzone.

I'd add the 99 Notre Dame game (great weather, night game, full moon, ESPN and the Vols rolled)

1985 Vanderbilt game. Vols clinched the SEC Championship for the first time in 16 years. Sacked Vandy's QB on the first play from scrimmage back in side the 10 and the rout was on. Loud the entire game.

1998 Florida game. I was sitting in the 4th row of the upper deck and you could feel it swaying back and forth!

Oklahoma was pretty loud last year..however, maybe it was because it hasn't been too loud recently? Looking forward to the Floriduh and Bama game this year.
