Loudest game at Neyland you attended

A game that doesn’t get mentioned often is that 06 Cal game. I was at 98/04 Florida and a lot of the others, but that Cal game was the last time I remember the crowd really making a difference.
I think a lot of people forget how many good players were on that cal team too. Marshawn Lynch and Forte in the backfield and DeSean Jackson at WR. That’s 3 all pros.

2003 at Alabama. The Vol fans got loud at the end and then the defense held and we won the game.

2016 Florida. Once we scored out 1st TD the fans got into it and then we went on to win.

2015 OU. UT stated on their official football account that it broke the decibel level for any UT game back to the 90’ when they started tracking.

Mine was the 1992 Florida game when we had the Armageddon-quality thunderstorm in the 3rd quarter. The crowd noise was unbelievable, especially when Mose Phillips took the Shuler screen pass more than 60 yards for a TD, ankle deep in water, right in front of the UF bench.

I thought Spurrier was going to have a stroke on the spot.

My wife and I had Sabrett's hot dogs outside the stadium with Brent Musberger right after the game. His first comment was "You people are crazy. I've never seen anything like it."

This is the loudest game that I ever attended.

I’ve been to most of the games mentioned so far. 98 Florida and it’s not even close. I was 7 rows off the field and you could literally feel the stadium moving underneath you from the noise and when the kick went wide left, I thought the whole place was gonna collapse. My vision actually blurred for a split second.

Might have been the loudest but it certainly was the wettest! Water coming down the stadium steps like a white water rapids. Soaking wet and loving it when Mose looked at his "watch"!! Special memory.

The single loudest moment in a UT game that I have personally experienced was play right here. Awesome play from an otherwise forgettable game:

The loudest game start-to-finish I have been to was 2016 Florida, followed by 2006 LSU (which was actually a loss).

If this was the JaMarcus Russell comeback game, I will atest to this. Could not take him to the ground. I remember defenders just bouncing off him.

Yes, it was, and you're absolutely right. He was hit and had defenders draped all over him multiple times and just did not go down.

98 Florida, and an underattended game that was extremely loud for a smaller crowd, was the 19 South Carolina game.

2004 Florida when Wilhoit hit the last fieldgoal it sounded like an explosion went off.

Gaffney NO CATCH game. Right up until that bald, degenerate Vandy grad worthless official GAVE the gators a TD

He blew three really big calls that game.... The TD from infamy you referenced, he awarded them a TD in that same endzone when a running a gator running toward that endzone was hit, came down at the one on both knees with body straight up before he fell into the endzone and was awarded the TD, and just before half with ust driving and seconds to go we hit a player on a toe touch out route when he was patted by the defender and they they kept the clock running saying his momentum was stopped and was then forced out. No FG for us.....

The catch call forced a mid season rules meeting to further define what a catch was and this ref was moved to a crew headed by a Bearden and UT alum where neither could call a UT game... Just a coincidence I bet.
