I know it has been discussed before The Cal stuff ND winning 10 games this year. But his comments during the Appy State game were the worst i have heard from him before. They ask him after the game is the biggest upset he ever saw and he is like well maybe in a long time,Mark May and the other guy hit there hands on the desk like are you a fookin moron or what. No one should be surprised about Appy because there use to winning are you kidding me there div 2 a against a team who should be top 4 team.Not only should Lyyod be fired so should Lou he is an idiot.

yeah lou is an idiot....mark may said this was inexcusable (about Michigan's lose) and lou is like "so your saying no team should ever have an off day"....:confused:

Yes then ask him have you never played a bad game. Wake up Lou this is UM vs APPY state this isnt basketball and the NCAA tournament. I dont know if that was worse than speaking about Notre Dame winning 10 games there of to a gr8 start.

Trying to rationalize that game being close was, IMO, the red flag that ESPN should have seen letting them know that he has no business on TV talking football.

Don't you understand? The greatest upset ever is going on RIGHT NOW. Georgia Tech is currently beating Notre Dame, and Lou Holtz is in complete shock!

This is the same network that was knocking the Big 10 scheduling the cupcakes this morning. 3 hrs later one of the broadcasters speaking on how we all should have expected this. This team is 2 time defending champ. Also saying heck they almost upset N.C State last year HEY LOU N.C state and Michigan theres a little difference there buddy. What did NC state have 4 wins last year in a horrible conference.

I liked when Mark May said that Lloyd Carr didn't get the players ready to play. Holtz then starts laughing and says that Mark always blames the coaches but instead the blame should be laid on the players. Mark just stared at him. Rece didn't have much to say either.

I was explaining to my wife tonight why they might just run Carr out of town tomorrow. He didn't have that team prepared...it is on him. You can't let your team look past any game...and it was obvious they looked right past Appy state. Holtz really should not be on the television. The worst part was watching his spit go everywhere today in high def. Granted, when I got the new TV I was looking forward to the extra detail...but that's just disgusting :)

as an analyst,
you have to leave your personal bias, agenda's at the door...that's the number 1 rule...
Lou Holtz breaks this rule several times every show...
He needs to be replaced
I know he's not popular, but Trev Alberts was much better.
The Reason Trev left was because he got tired of that mickey mouse crap on there.

hey guys think about this. Holtz said cal will blow us out of the stadium tonight, based on what we know he doesn't have a clue.

Poor ol' Lou used to be a very astute thinker, coach, and speaker...great sense of humor and quite knowledgeable with great breadth of knowledge...

Now he has gotten to the point where he really needs to get out of the public forum because he is becoming somewhat of a laughing stock and that's sad...

He needs to just go and ESPeeN should figure out some way to do that...

Have you seen Granny's inspirational speech segment on CFBLive. It made me want to crawl into a hole and die.
