My wife is moving me to north Alabama. This is where she is from. The mountain we will be living on is mostly Bama fans. I have converted her and met about three other Vol fans. I just can't help feeling like I need worry about pitch folks and torches. Help Volnation I'm so scared.

Although now that I think about it, it's probably better than being stuck on Broke Back Mt.

My wife moved me to Birmingham over 3 years ago. We're both from the Tri-Cities so thankfully, I didn't have to convert her. It's not as bad as I thought, especially given their recent run. You're not going to get away from it, but it is bearable for the most part.

What's all this business about ya'lls wives "moving you" somewhere? What does that mean exactly?

She graduates pharmacy school in May. After her being a full-time student for eight years now, I'll move wherever if it means she'll graduate and work full-time. And make bank at that. Oh yeah, and she makes a mean sammich.

Be brave. Pick your battles. If anything really bad happens, blame your wife. Better yet, tell the mob your wife burned a "Bear Hat" in protest of their recent win. As they are attacking her, you can escape. None of this would be necessary of course if she hadn't moved you to Bama.

I think you could get lost in big city like that as a vol fan. They don't have anything to do on Sand Mtn. I'm still scared. Thanks for the support.

Yeah, all the Auburn fans help to deflect some of the anger. Not to mention a lot of the Bama fans actually went to Bama and moved here to work. Not near as bad as Joe Bob and Cletus rolling out of their trailer and driving down the mountain on Saturday morning with the sole purpose of raising some hell.

I am originally from Scottsboro. There are a few Vols fans there but there a a bunch in Huntsville (30 mi west).

Its beautiful up there. The Tennessee river area is gorgeous. I would live in Scottsboro, Guntersville, or Huntsville but that is it.

Stay away from the Holy rollers. They dont like your kind (doesnt matter what kind you are if your not Holiness). NO offense intended. Just advice.

Where you moving to? I live in Geraldine. Its was not real bad 3 years ago, but now every bandwagon crappabama fan has crawled out of the woodwork. Thankfully most of the folks I personally congregate with are Barners. They are not that bad.

I have lived in north alabama for close to 20 years and it is the most Vol friendly place in the state. No worries.

I would much rather be on a mt with a bunch of Bama fans than in a city full of UGA alums. At least the Bama fans have something to brag about. It's laughable how inflated of an ego/opinion of themselves UGA fans are.

That's true, but if you're in Huntsville that's a far cry from Flat Rock. My in-laws are from Flat Rock. It's a very different place.
