Well, just wanted to add some things that I witnessed at the game. I am a GA fan and I was sitting in II with a mix of GA/UT fans; however there was a good majority of GA fans in that section, about three rows back from where I sat. Everything was going OK until GA scored their first TD. At that point a GA fan (some student) proceeded to throw an object (shoe, shirt, something) down at the crowd below. This obviously pissed some people off and the cops came, but no one was caught given how many students there were. But that wasn't the end. GA scored the second TD, and again, another object fell and hit some UT fans. Now, this was enough to piss not just them off but GA fans as well. I had a father and son next to me and the father started shouting and cursing at the GA fans because he was so embarassed. At that point I felt pretty bad that our team was being represented by such poor conduct. But I have to say that just because certain fans act this way does not mean we are all like that. I won't apologize for their actions because I didn't do anything wrong. Just like I am not going to apologize for how players act.
So, move foward to after the game when I am walking back to my car. I get just pass the convention center near Chruch St. and I happen to look over at the traffic when I see a guy looking right at me and flicking me off. He says "f*** you, Georgia fans." I looked right at him and said "I didn't do anything wrong." In my opinion, I would say that we can equally be as rude to each other and it appears as though we are quick to pile every fan into one mass when it comes to blaming a team. I honestly had a great time at Neyland as it was my first and with the exception of those incidents, I felt welcome by many Vols. I think that when you are the visiting team you should show some respect for that team's stadium, team, fans, etc. I will admit that some of our fans acted stupidly but I don't think it's right to blame all of us.
