I think our reality of the last 15 years is starting to set in. Been watching Tennessee play football for 31 season and this team is no where near where it use too be and it hasn't been for a long time now.

It’s not dead. Not sure why people use that phrase. Makes no sense. I think you’re trying to say one of the elite (year in and year out) programs then yes...we’re obviously not at that level. But Tennessee still pulls top 10-15 recruiting classes almost every year. That just goes to show the history, tradition, reach, facilities, fan base, etc. Tennessee truly is one of the giants of college football. We’ve just been down for a long time. We need a new coach. Eventually we’ll get the right guy in there and it’ll turn around

In hindsight, halftime at the 2001 SEC Championship game was the last time this program was truly nationally relevant and the last great moment we've had. Since then we've never gotten close to that point again: up 17-10 and a half away from the National Championship game.

Alumnus and a fan for close to 55 years or so. Started listening to games when I was a kid. Sad to say that I just don’t care anymore. When the administration cares about putting a winning program on the field let me know.
