Every second that goes by I keep expecting to see the official announcement that Butch has been fired. I’ve been expecting this since last week. The longer this goes on the more I think Currie is just as bad at game day decisions as Butch. And that does not bode well for us. GET ON WITH IT.

Currie is no clown of an AD like Hamilton or Hart. Just got to be patient, things are getting worked out.

Announcement won't come until the AD has identified the next coach IMO

I'm thinking they won't let him go until after the slaughter in Alabama next week. No reason to have an interim suffer through the embarrassment. JMO

Wish our AD cared about football like GA and FL. Both of those schools would have already fired their coaches if they saw this on the field. Hell FL is having discussions over their coach even though they have won the East two traight years.

An interim might bring a spark. Either way we will lose. Fire butch now.

I’m ok with not doing it now. Because next week will be hard to watch. Now if it it does not happen by Monday of next week, then I’ll start burning mattresses.

Until we have another coach ready and signed, there isn't a really good reason to fire Butch. What if Hoke or whomever turned it around this season like Orgeron did at LSU last year. We don't want that.

At this point it makes no sense to announce an interim or anything with the Bama mauling he would be about to receive.

Don't worry its going to happen but Currie is no fool...He is most likely gauging interest in the job from potential candidates...1st call should be to Chip Kelly and if he says no then call Bobby Petrino and get his ass down to Knoxville pronto...I do not care what he has done in the past the man can coach and he has unfinished business in the SEC...I would believe in him and have no doubt he would bolt Louisville to coach UT.

Worried about this. The only drawback to firing Butch now.

It's a business decision and not one that is going to cater to the childish fits of the fanbase to meet a certain schedule.

I keep seeing this argument. Why keep butch for another week. Forget the coaches, we have to keep recruits. Cutting jones now can hopefully stop the bleeding of decommitments

Think about what you are saying. Sending an interim against Bama isn't good for the team and there is no use pulling the trigger until you are close to having a replacement. If you want to see all the recruits jump ship then you fire him now and find a coach in January.

Just stop dude. Would be complete low class to do it in the middle of the night like this. Lets see if they have an official press conference scheduled the next day or so which is the right way to do it or maybe wait till after the massacre next week.

If you want to see recruits jump ship keep CBJ around; prime example today. Fire the guy now to show recruits you mean business
