Losing Eddie Gran kills this program..

1. We'll find someone else to recruit down there

2. South Florida is loaded with talent, but recruiting there won't automatically make you a NC. Bama has recruited 3 "south" Florida players in the last 3 years

The more South Florida recruits you have the better your chances are at winning championships. Just look at all the championships teams from the big east have won for evidence. And surely you didn't miss the BCS selections of Miami, Florida State, USF and Florida International last night.

All the teams around the country should forget about the Vince Young's, Percy Harvins, Joe Mcknights, Reggie Bush's, and Mark Ingrams of the world and instead just go hard after the next Nukeese Richardson.

good one I'm already out of popcorn,he,he,he:clapping:

We don't need coaches that are self centered and focused on personal needs over TEAM. Eddie goes home to Florida and Frank goes home to Louisiana. No problem for their personal needs...big problem for UT. Assistants bounce around like two bit hookers until they find the cash they can command. See Kevin Steele. Team loyalty is a fleeting memory and jersey's are no more than a temporary logo and a paycheck to these guys (see Brian Kelley).

SEE NICK SABAN!!!!!!

I stopped counting at 10, but seriously, people are retarded.

This dang internet thing, everyone has an opinion but no one reads what they're actually talking about.

This has been the most enjoyable thread I've read in a long time. Maybe ever. I usually never post until I read it all and all the posts. It's amazing to see all that read the headline and go straight to their assumptions.

We are UT. We'll get the talent and we will coach em up with or without CEG.

We got a good captain for our ship

Eddie Gran was the only guy on this staff some people would trust with their child/grandchild. He was also an awesome recruiter. He was also a great coach. I will admit it if I am wrong, but I warned he may leave in August and I will be stunned if we replace with anyone close to his level unless we are paying tons more.

No big deal---Kiffin will quickly replace him with someone better. There are tons of good recruiters out there who can work the 'hood in florida.

I agree. Let's think about this logically, if you had a team full of Nukeese Richardsons then every team would forfeit over fear of being robbed and UT would simply go undefeated every year.

Not unless they were all afraid of having their eye shot out. :cray:

The Penal systems are full of Nukeese Richardson's!

i had no idea that Gran coached and played every position on the team.

Good grief Charlie Brown. We lose a coach or two and we gain a coach or two. Yes, indeed...get a grip. Life (and the vols) will go on. Go Big Orange.
