Looks like we aren't playing @ Oregon anymore. (yes we are)

Legit or not, it's an excuse to not play the game. ...no emotions in this.

I really didn't care if we played Oregon or not. Florida gets away with playing the citadel every year, doesn't seem to hurt their pride.

Im with this

Everyone was looking forward to this game, I know I was, now we will get another Monatan on the schedule, sure it's a win but geez.

By 2013 we will have plenty of firepower to hang with Oregon.

It has to be because of expansion but it is still sad.

It was actually N Texas, which was worse.

Agreed. Let's schedule Oklahoma, Texas, and USC to go along with our SEC schedule. We aint scared!

Yeah and when we get to the BCS nobody could call us a cheese champion either. :aggressive:

This blows. We were looking forward to making a weeklong trip out of it.

Either this is due to going to 9 conference games, or this is some pathetic, weak BS.

Guys chill out. Hubbs has said this is simply not true. Official word from UT is that they are planning on making the trip.

Chip Kelly either made a mistake or outright lied.

For those that may have missed the other thread . . .

Contrary to reports, our head coach and team expect to make the trip to Oregon in '13 unless they cancel.

I don't really know if this is true or not but I remember there was a thread that discussed that we were scheduling a home and away series with WVU. Maybe that has something to do with this. But all of that is just a guess.

Thread is a HUGELY entertaining read...two thumbs up, I highly recommend it.

I'm selfish. Oregon is a great state. Portland is one of my favorite cities; it's a great beer-drinking town. Ever since they put this game on the schedule, my wife and I have circled it with the intention of spending 10 days out there -- a weekend in Portland, four or five days out in the mountains, the game. I'm going to be severely irked if that trip doesn't happen for whatever reason.

(Yeah, you can go out there anyway, but it isn't as awesome without a football game wrapped up in it.)

Jimmy Hyams reporting that Tennessee to schedule home and home series with Oregon for 2010 and 2013.

we lost to cal out that way and never really showed up... and we'd prolly lose to Oregon if we're being realistic... Give up that game to avoid a loss, not a bad idea... sure we look bad now but we'd could be title contenders in 2013 and the SEC is hard enough... add Oregon to that, not too smart.

Tennessee used to play good OOC games.

Scared is the word.

Saban went out and got Clemson to start 1 year and VTech the next.

It jump started their march to the top.

UT needs to grow a pair.

Loyal eagle? You pull for Auburn-Alabama-Tennessee. Yeah... you're pretty loyal. Bandwagon fans shouldn't be telling anyone to grow a pair. Congrats on your back to back national championships.

How the hell can one's favorite teams be 3 Tennessee, Alabama, and Auburn?

Cant miss the coast, its very unique. My wife was from Astoria, and we lived in the area for a number of years. Miss the state, hope to retire there.
