Can these kids transfer without sitting? I think their LT would look great in Orange.

I would use that 750k to buy out the Oklahoma game and just schedule two new games since we are shopping for another non conference game anyways.

I guess that can actually go to offset what we are paying our last joke of a coach who shall go unnamed in this post.

Give it to CBJ for not talking to Michigan

I heard on the raido today it would 925K. Take the money and see if UAB has any O-linemen and WR, and LBs. They can transfer and not count against recruiting, and play next year.

I believe they will owe us $925,000. Tell Butch if he can collect it, he can have it.

Will need to find another cupcake hopefully! :ermm:

Tell Hart to get ETSU on the phone!!

As an ETSU Buc, I like where your head is at there! :good!:

However, there is a rule in place where I-AA teams can't play 'up' in a I-A game until they have awarded their full allotment of scholarships for at least 2 years. So earliest Vols vs. Bucs matchup would probably be 2017 or 2018, depending on ETSU's funding.

So sad for UAB, but hopefully we can get a few of their players up in Johnson City though!

ALSO... UT already has Western Carolina on the schedule next year, so can't add another I-AA team. Would need to add another lower-tier FBS team (perhaps another school that UAB had scheduled: Georgia State, South Alabama, Troy)

Stay away from Western KY. Just sayin. :)

This is all too last minute to realistically schedule anyone notable.

We'll probably just pick up one of the other non-conference usa teams that they had been scheduled to play.

So we'll see either Georgia State (who we played in 2012), Troy (who we played in 2012) or South Alabama (we played them last year) again.

Long shot but are there any offensive linemen we might want from there?

They will announce at 4:30pm E.S.T. that UAB will be shutting down their football program.... along with their bowling and shooting teams.
