LSU was heavily criticized for hiring Ed O, but he’s done nothing but win 75% of his games and get them in the top 10. It’s a match made in Heaven.. it’s just taking people a while to realize it.

Other examples of a great fit:

Mullen and Florida
Smart and Georgia
Diaz and Miami
Cutcliffe and Duke
Mason and Vandy
Herman and Texas
Fitzgerald and Northwestern
Whittingham and Utah

The list goes on and on. It’s important. Stop talking about Mike Leach. Jeremy Pruitt is our guy. He’ll get it right. Go Vols.

I’ll believe it when Pruitt beats Ga St, OK?

Just skimming the list a lot of those guys have ties to those schools. Right now it feels like we are trying to fit an Alabama square peg into a Tennessee round hole.

But time well tell, hopefully I’m wrong. Not ready to give up on Pruitt after one bad game, even though it was a really really bad game. One might say a red flag kind of game.

I agree that Leach isn’t our guy. I’m not yet convinced that Pruitt is our guy. His career record at Tennessee is 5-8.

My biggest issue with the North Alabama Kojak from the get-go has been “fit”. Lifelong Alabama fans don’t “fit” on the hill. I don’t think it has to be a Tennessee guy, though our track record with those was pretty good. But it does need to be somebody who appreciates the tradition, and history of this program. Bama is one of the few places that our history and tradition May fade next to. There is little for him to appreciate here other than a far-too-large paycheck and buyout.

We are two years and a coaching search from relevance.

I wouldn't dare bet my life on it, but I'm with you, I think in the end it works out. I think!......

Tee Martin would be the guy who “fits” as head coach a hell of a lot more than a guy who turned down D1 scholarships to walk on at Bama and later be coaching on the sideline encouraging his players to destroy anyone wearing orange. Kind of funny that in the past 2 years UT has had 2 head coaches smoking cigars after the 3rd Saturday in October, they were just on the other team at the time

That sounds kind of insecure tbh

How does Pruitt “fit” here? Pray tell...
