Looking back at Pruitt's OC search of coaches now in the SEC

Personally, I think Sark might very well be Bama's next coach. I can't believe Dabo would leave the easy ACC, even for his alma mater. So assuming Pruitt turns us around to say 9-10 win in 2021, he would be on the short list. Tops would probably be Oregon coach Mario Cristobal. But if he decides to stay put, then Sark would be #3 choice, Pruitt 3a.

My only complaint about Cheney, he needs to trust the Oline and run the ball to control the clock and close out a game.......

I'm sure he will as soon as they show they have what it takes to control the LOS. "Trust" is a fragile thing. Which comes first the ability to do the job or the faith that you can do the job???

I think this is a fantastic prediction. There will be no way that anyone will jump from a successful program where they are treated like their program’s Saban to directly follow the greatest coach of the modern era. There will have to be a bridge to the next great Bama coach I think. Unless Dabo can be convinced. Otherwise, there will be a bridge hire.

I'd like to see Tennessee run the ball so much that in the third qtr, MO just says, we can't play anymore, we're going home!

I agree with you. Dabo would have to be really dumb to leave the cushy ACC to follow a legend like Saban at Alabama. He's got it rolling with almost zero competition in the conference.

So good to see dduncan back on VN. How are the kiddos?
Doing real good brother. They are growing up on me. Dennis will be 18 in January. I feel so old lol. Hes still got his sights set on the Air Force Academy and he's got the grades to make it. ROTC has been the best thing that could ever happen to him. He will be an Officer in the USAF and I couldn't be more proud of him. Laura would have been so proud to see what he's become.

He can do it! If he doesn't get in the AFA, tell him to keep doing ROTC in college!
