About over people talking about stars and what not... I've watched enough years of UT nabbing top 10 or 15 classes and it producing hot trash on the field because of hot trash coaching... I just want to see player development, even if it's a team full of walk ons, I don't care...

Agreed! Butch recruited top 5 classes. Best he did was 9 wins. Recruit and develop! Inky Johnson was a 1 ⭐️ until he got offered from UT. Ramon Foster was a 2 ⭐️ and played 11 years for the Steelers.

Most are 3 stars with one 4 star. If he can coach these guys we got up, plus the ones coming in who knows we may have a diamond in the rough of a coach. Time will tell. Last 10 years been like riding a bicycle with no chain. As John Ward Said. IT'S TIME !!!!!!
More like without a seat...

We were beaten by more than one team with 3 star talent. Several on here still can't stop talking about GaSt and BYU. We would have been decimated.

That isn't the argument here that you started! There is no guarantee at all that UCF decimates UT in 2018 and 2019. Yes, UT lost to GA State. But, they also beat a very good #21 Auburn team at AU, a very good #12 KY team, and a very good 8-4 Indiana team in 2018 and 2019. You can't guarantee that JG wouldn't have played well enough for the Vols to get the win vs UCF in 2018 and 2019. You can kid yourself and say it a million times! It still doesn't make it A FACT. Your opinion isn't facts and doesn't hold water! But, you keep thinking it does. LOL

UCf is a commuter school in a town full of theme parks — at UT in the sec — recruiting will be a lot easier

Ok while you are technically correct some more context is needed. The Auburn and UK wins were good. But we’re those wins a tend or more like anomalies? Blowout losses to Georgia State. Loss to BYU. Blowout losses to Missouri and Vandy.

That Indians team wasn’t that good. It didn’t have Penix at QB and let’s be honest, it took a Herculean effort to squeak out a win. So basically we see the trend that Pruitts teams aren’t very good. It’s much more likely that UCF would have run us off the field in 2018 and 2019.

It's not a given that UT would have lost to UCF, but I have a hard time believing that we could have scored enough points to beat them. We have just been offensively challenged for several years.

This is pure speculation! Gus had some decent offenses and a Pruitt lead D gave him a loss at Auburn. I am not saying JH can't coach an O. But, you can't say nonsense that a bunch of 3 star players outside the P5 would DESTROY a decent SEC team in 2018 and 2019.
High efficiency passing teams eviscerated us in 18. See WVA, Mizzou and (yikes) Vandy. Auburn? They didn’t have a high efficiency passing offense.

No one is talking about them. This is about UCF destroying UT in 2018 or 2019. None of you can prove that it would have happened. As stated, it is speculation like 90% of the garbage on this board. Based on your 82,000 posts. You have no life and plenty of time to throw around unproven garbage.

High efficiency passing teams eviscerated us= UCF was a high efficiency passing team. Would’ve been less attractive than butt ugly.

You may be right. I hope you are. UCF scored more on LSU during the bowl game outside of an OT game with A&M than anyone. But, it is still SPECULATION due to them not playing.
