And no more Verne this year and we can watch the gators get whipped by Bama this time! I wish we could have won the east but there are positives in this, I guess.

If this team had to face bama again, they'd have to forfeit any bowl game - not enough bodies left to field a team.

We just need Florida to lose the next 2 games and if LSU can beat A&M this Thursday, we'll be in the Sugar Bowl (assuming we handle our business vs Vanderbilt). We would be the only SEC team other than Alabama with at least 9 wins.

Not a bad consolation prize. Especially when you consider how atrocious our defense is and what Alabama would have done to us if we snuck into the SEC championship game.

A Sugar Bowl appearance would be awesome. However, the team we will likely face will do just as much to our defense as Bama would, or at least pretty damn close to it.

I expect we'll face either Oklahoma, West Virginia, or Oklahoma State depending on how the Big 12 and playoffs shake out.

I like our chances against any of them because they are Big 12 teams and they don't play defense.

We'll just be in another shootout if we get to the Sugar Bowl.

One thing to consider is that we'll get about a month-ish off between vandy and the bowl.
