Look for more to leave the program.

Typical with a new coaching staff and higher expectations. I would be worried if they were starters, but not a shock that back-ups who never see the field are leaving.

Good luck to those guys. I remember all of them coming in a few years ago and the high hopes we had for them, especially Vinson and Donald.

left last week. just felt time to move on. 2-3 more likely after bowl game. when they get the bowl goodies and bowl money
Good point.

This is just routine for programs when coaches come in, clean house, and go a new direction.

These guys are wonderful athletes just not what the our staff is looking for.

But remember that no matter what the future holds for any of them, they all wore the Orange and will always be Vols one way or the other.

I hope it's not true about Campbell because I was looking forward to seeing a Williamson Co. product make a contribution. Obviously, there are some WRs with loads of potential on the commit list so I can see how the field may look crowded to rising upperclassmen who are way back on the depth chart.

I think 2011 - 2013 classes... not exactly sure how calculations work but applies over 4 year period. all these defections stay on books that entire time

Far from an expert on these rules but doesn't the player's grades at the time when they leave have something to do with this? I thought if they left in "good standing" (whatever that means) that it didn't come back to bite us. True?

I see what your saying, instead of Golden Tate, we got Todd Campbell but we has a pretty highly recruited prospect out of high school...still when you read the first line it kinda makes you sick.

Tate was going to ND no matter who our coach was

The free ride of handing out scholarships to guys who can never contribute on the field is over. The new staff has had to endure with scholarship players who are not worthy and cannot come in and play long enough. There is no need to give a scholarship to a player who if called upon, cannot come in a game and contribute to the success of the team. Which makes the most sense: having 85 scholarship players with only 25 to 30 who can play SEC football or having 85 scholarship players that goes 50 to 60 deep?

LWS, do you believe that Berry and Rogan are the only two that we have to worry about leaving early?

No Gerald Jones, DMoore, Stocker, or Chris Walker?

Rubbish.......really.

What if YOUR kid signed with UT....was a stupid decision based on his talent level..and wanted to transfer. Would you call HIM rubbish or dead weight?

Nice things to say about 18-20 yr old KIDS.

I went to high school with T. Campbell. Although I was glad to see a Franklin kid make it, I was still unsure what UT saw in him.

Look for Eric Berry to be kicked off the team. Or atleast that's what the NY times and ESPN will report. They have to some how find a way to turn Eric Berry being a lottery pick into a negative.

any time u have a kid in your state you have a chance!!!! especially with early attention to the kid

Tate went to a Catholic high school and I believe he grew up a Notre Dame fan. UT never had a chance once ND offered him.
