I can't sleep right now, and I'm bored so I figured I'd start a lame thread. What's longest you've gone without sleeping, mine is 30 hours.

38 hours. Drove straight through coast to almost coast several times. California to Tennessee.

Haha, it's weird how the times have changed. You could fly cheaper, if you are stopping for hotels and meals.

I know. It's been that way for the last 12-20 years. When I lived in California, I could always get a round trip ticket into Nashville for around $150. Much cheaper than flying into TYS. Could rent a car in Nashville for a few hundred and still saved money. Used to be able to catch a flight from Dallas to Las Vegas, back then, for $30 round trip. I checked a round trip flight from here to Knoxville last week and it's still cheaper than driving counting gas, meals and motels. Stupid.

RV and I found a deal out of St. Pete/Clearwater airport. Allegiant airlines flies non-stop every Thursday to Knoxville. Round trip $49.00 each but you must arrive and depart on Thursdays.

Same here. I started losing track. At a certain point though, it gets easier to stay awake. You just feel like you're in a daze/stupor

Once you get in the drone zone you're all set; theres a strange boost in alertness and functionality that comes somewhere in around 40-50 hours.

Is that one of the Oxycontin Express flights I saw on a documentary?

Flying Knoxville to Cairnes, Australia. I was awake for between 40 and 45 straight hours from the time I got up in Knoxville to the time I finally hit the sack in Queensland. I absolutely cannot sleep in any type of moving vehicle, so I just sat up the entire 14 hour LA to Sydney flight and watched Mr. Bean and played Tetris.

70 hours. I won the contest. But the last 15-20 hours my eyes were open but I didn't feel awake. Then slept for 17 hours straight.

35 hours - Bozeman, MT to Knoxville straight. Lincoln is creepy to see because I didn't see any road signs for it and then there is this city in the middle of nowhere. This was in 2003 before widespread GPS use.

~40 hours - Watch during Phantom Fury which was right after I got to my duty station. It wasn't that bad because there was so much going on.

The drive was the worst of the 2.

Keef Richards claims to have done 9 days straight in his book. He cracked his head on his speaker in his living room. Slept for 2 days. Makes my lil three day jaunt seem weak. He had the pharmaceutical. Lucky bastage!
