It’s nice to have some excitement here going into next season. Not saying we have playoff hopes, but winning the east next season does not sound like an unrealistic scenario. We are all proud of how the team finished this season, and if they improve again next year it should be a good one.

I appreciate last night’s gutsy finish but still think we’re a long way from real relevance in the SEC.

I do think we’re headed in the right direction, but we still seem far from beating a Georgia, Alabama or even a Florida. I hope I’m wrong, but until we get a consistent quarterback, we’re going to struggle.

Real exciting things from the RBs and WRs though.
go Vols!

Yeah I’ll be really excited to see how we stack up next year but I’d expect it’ll be a major upset to beat Florida and Georgia. Georgia is stacking way too much talent and say what you want about them not winning a championship because I agree, but they will be a tough out. I’ll be excited regardless and here’s to us continuing the climb.

Me too. Just getting out with a win was the important thing. I think Pruitt has learned a lot about winning close games this season, lol.
I just feel like if we would have lost that game we would have to endure an offseason of “fahr Pruitt”, “fahr (insert assistant coach)”, and hot seat talk. And I just don’t have that in me right now.

Is next season the year GA and Bama play fairly early in the season?

Going to be interesting if Fromm goes to the NFL and the Dogs have to break in a new QB. If that game turns into a clunker for GA their season has the possibility of going off the rails very quickly.

Georgia had a lot of talent this year when they lost to South Carolina.

Their offense seemed to trip over itself at the worst times this year. They had a really good defense.

After watching most of the Bowl games there was only a handful of teams we could not compete with. But after that the next 30 teams all looked alike to me talent wise. A QB being the difference between 9 wins and 7 wins. Unless AU which had the amazing Defense to fall back on. LSU, Clemson, OH ST, Ala, Ga. Out class everyone. Oklahoma, Baylor, Mich, Fla next group. And in this group we our just a QB from playing with them. Thoughts?

QB is definitely the key. Hopefully Pruitt will fall out of love with JG in the offseason and roll with Bailey, Maurer, Shrout, or anyone else.
