We started 0-5 in 1988 and are getting ready to lose our 5 th game in a row. What else needs to happen Before our Administration decides enough is enough Because at this point, we are the laughing stock of the SEC. After 1988, I never thought I would live Long enough to see that ever happen again, especially after the dynasty we had going from the mid 90’s to early 2000’s. If our Administration isn’t serious about fielding a program better than Vanderbilt then I recommend we just shut it down and put all our money into basketball.

In 1953 General Neyland hired Harvey Robinson to replace him as UT HC. He was Neyland's friend. He had been on his staff for 7 years. In 1953 Tennessee went 6-4. In 1954 Tennessee lost 4 games in a row. Neyland fired Robinson after two seasons. He said it was the hardest thing he ever had to do football wise. But Tennessee football was more important. He hired Bowden Wyatt and Tennessee was a national championship contender and SEC Champion by 1956.

Phillip Fulmer has always wanted to be like Neyland. He was not in Neyland's stratosphere on the coaching side of things. Maybe he can at least follow his lead and own his mistake as an athletic director the way General Neyland did 66 years ago.

Let’s hope so. Otherwise I am truly concerned that our program is going to get past the point of no return. It’s obvious Pruitt is over his head as a head coach. It’s well known Hugh Freeze would crawl here to take this job. IMO that would be a home-run hire

If you can go get Freeze or Joe Brady, go get them now!

Agree. I don't think it is going to happen.
