1) Butch is our coach right now. Get behind him as much as you can. We have to hope he can improve his rigid mentality in game. Every other part of his coaching arsenal is very solid.
He can improve! He has too... or he won't last hear past next year. He's All Vol, and has done a ton of good things for our program to build it back up.

2) We have a very.... very talented team. We probably should have beaten OU by 40 yesterday. OU maybe a top 4 team... in the Big 12

3) Debord needs time to find his groove with these players.

4) You see now we can play defense..

5) We are still the best in SEC east.... and we are 0-0 in conference.

Best in the SEC east? Did you see GA? Extremely talented with the best back in the country.

Georgia's QB's are awful, they can run the ball all they want, but it will be stopped eventually, we can beat them. This team just needs to learn to how to a finish a game.

One game does not a season make, one game doesn't define a program. Snap and clear, get better. Lots to play for.

We had a mouth piece with dooley always making excuses.
I broke my own rule by buying into the hype during the off season. I want to believe but I just can't, if there is not a sense of urgency next Saturday and I mean a killer attitude adjustment in QB, play calling and all around 360, we're done for. I feel this will be our worst season w/ the NEW OC

This is the exact reason people are mad at Butch. Losing a 17-0 game at home has never happened here.

Let's say we are top 5 in 2 years, well I'm scared because if we are playing playoffs and SEC championships with equal level teams, we will get outcoached even though we may have the better players all around, and better depth all around. We could still win, but it's added risk. Are we going to call the same exact plays over and over in national championships? Field goals on the 1? Recipe for future disaster, he needs to adjust his staff.

It's not all Butch, its our OC DC playcallers and more.

Hopefully Butch can win championships with talent when he is outcoached often, but it is something he must work on. Outcoached doesn't only imply Butch, it's every coach we have, many are not on par with Butch in the first place

Lot of football left to be played. My prediction along with a lot of other people on this site was 8-4 this year. We still have potential to go 8-4 and have some big wins. Yes I'm disappointed with last nights loss but it's not the end of the season. Go Vols.

Tennessee will be lucky to win 7 games this year. Butch will fold in every big spot. Carolina may be his biggest win again... sad.

I actually think we played the 2nd best team we'll play all year yesterday. Georgia does not have a QB like Mayfield that can perform houdini tricks after the pocket collapses. Also there is no Sterling Sherpard on Georgia. Georgia's o-line is better. And Nick Chubb is better than Perine/Mixon so stopping the run will be a challenge. However, that is game we CAN win. It'll be tough like Oklahoma, but is definitely winnable.

Only game where you can say we don't have a chance from here on out is @Alabama. Every other game is winnable. But then again, Oklahoma was also winnable. We'll just have to see how the season goes.

There's the rub. UGA can run the ball and well. They can go under center and get the tough short yards. I'd bet the farm they'd have run the ball in from the 1 and not settled for 3 pts. Not sold on Dobbs, this staff or this offense.

It's going to be a long season for those expecting 10 wins, The reality is this is a 7/8 win team at best

And if that's the best we can do offensively against solid defenses, it might be a very, very long season.
