Anyone know the addy for the LBSU forum? I'd like to check it out and see their response to the whippin UT put on them!

i love how they are calling for the coaches head. for a small conference like that shouldn't MAKING the tourney be enough to keep your job?

Hey, first time poster...

The reason they are ticked and want him gone is because he ruined their future. LBSU has 8 seniors.. and I think around half of em are JUCOs..

Their coach felt the heat after doing badly his first few seasons so picked up quite of few JUCOs to put a bandaid on the problem.. he can't recruit.

Basically he went for immidiate success and isn't good at building a program and screwed them over, impossible to replace 8 seniors.

I agree that replacing 8 seniors will be tough... I would also encourage him to stress defense a bit more.

But good game, fun to watch with lots of scoring.

But, we fans and boosters were all clearly and unequivocally shown something that most of us knew in our hearts. There is a huge gap between where our program is and where the better teams in the country are. Just look at the facts:
Long Beach finished the season strong in the BWC and was at the height of its overall, yearlong performance. Yet we were thrashed and embarrased by a mediocre team from the SEC that is much better know for its football team.
With that said, we all need to ask ourselves if we think that the current coaching regime has any chance of closing that gap. If the answer is, "I'm not sure," then we need to reevaluate the level at which we want to compete. [/FONT]

I saw this too and kind of laughed at first, but I suppose it's not a great stretch. I mean, being in SEC east with the Gators, all the other teams are viewed as pretty much mediocre right now, especially if they are entering the tournament unranked. Either way, it's alot easier to read remarks like that after having put a PROFOUND whippin' on their now-bandaged asses, is it not? :)

By the way, great to be at Vol Nation!
