Lol to the people blaming injuries

I'm saying with zero injuries we still lose by 21 points. Yes. Our coaches got exposed in a big way. Well they only got exposed Saturday if you have no IQ at all. The rest of us saw them get exposed in week 1 and again against Georgia and again against Tamu.

Lose by 21 with zero injuries? Had UT been healthy and beat A&M would you have said the same thing?

Highly delusional post with zero basis for argument.

Goodness, we aren't that bad. Injuries are a factor. I don't think we beat bama (while Saban is there) without an avalanche of misfortune taking them down a few notches but our team isn't garbage.

Injuries matter. On our best and fully healthy day we would not beat this bama team, but we might have made it respectable.

The deck is simply stacked in their favor for now, both talent and coaching. Next year if we lose I hope we make their earn it. This isn't moral victory crap either, it is just reality. Bama is "there", we are not.

Our coaches recruiting is evaluated by many experts. You can see the results each year and our recruiting is top ten. Check the rankings at the end of each season. For the most part they correlate with recruiting in the prior three years. Without the injuries we are a top ten team. With the injuries we had aginst AL not top 25.

I see your lol and raise you 2 lols for your ridiculousness. Saban is the best in the country and if he sets the standard then all sec coaches are getting fired

without injuries, ut would have beaten A*M easily but still would have been steamrolled by alabama. They are at a different level.

after all the injuries you should never get blown out at home by 39 points period...

16 players have missed a start due to injury, another due to suspension, another quit. That's 18 players. 5 of those missed more than 1 game and another 9 players have missed in-game time due to injury for a total of 27 players. This info was via Hyams.

It's all connected. The play calling on both sides of the ball is connected to who you have on the field and what they know and what they can execute.

We had an O-Lineman play who was planning to redshirt which means he probably had a limited knowledge of the game plan, probably got no meaningful reps during the week and overall it was a patchwork line anyway. It all starts there on offense.

Defensively, well, for the first time since Jones has been here we didn't look like we had enough speed to keep up with Hurts. So, Shoop can try to mask all the injuries but the lack of speed and experience was a killer.

I'm not saying that the coaches don't deserve some blame, but Bama is the number one team in the country and we just didn't have the Jimmy's and Joe's for this game.

Dont think we beat Bama at 100% but I believe there wouldnt be a 39 point gap. More in the 28-10 range. Losing them on defense is like 2 TDs for them in that game.

The whole "you cant blame injuries" thing is dumb. You cant say Bama is so good because they recruit better players and not realize that 1st string vs 2nd string players have a similar advantage...that's why they are top recruits or why they are 1st string!

As beat up as the Vols are now, I consider any further wins to be gravy and because we beat both Florida and Georgia I am calling this season a good one! So there!

These youngsters heal up quicker than the average human. Hopefully we can get enough talent on the field to win out. Staying healthy will be the key. GBO!

I'll be perfectly satisfied with 10-2. Staff proved themselves SEC worthy by beating FL and Georgia back to back(doesn't matter how bad they are, couldn't beat them when they sucked before this season).
Most expected the 2-2 split and playing third stringers against Bama would yield the same result for any team that doesn't replace injuries with 4 and 5 star players.

The progress is there.

Only part of staff that I would like to see replaced would be oline. guys can't recruit ands take too long to develop lineman.
Might also look into a strength coach replacement. Why so many injuries? I guess you could argue the guantlet. tough games.

I can't tell if you are just a miserable person or know very little about football. Maybe a little of each

I would agree with all of this.
Only thing I would add is some concern about the current recruiting class. I had hoped that we would replace about five of the current commits with some higher ranked guys.
And, yes, if that makes me a star gazer, that's fine.
To compete with Bama, we have to continually upgrade our roster. Not just wait for Saban to retire.
