Lol to the people blaming injuries

It's the reason the score was what it was and why you think their qb was so good

I'll try to answer that:
1. He is a very fast runner
2. His OL mashed the DL in front of them
3. UT's back up LBs were too slow to get to the corner
4. His WRs are very good blockers and UT's DBs were dominated and could not get off blocks.
5. He didn't need to be a great passer which he isn't
6. He had all day long to pass which helped him have some success thru the air.
7. Bama would have been better off if they had not attempted a pass all day.

It will be interesting to see if he can win thru the air when (if) they play a team that can stop their running game.

We got exposed on Saturday. A true freshman QB destroyed us utterly and completely.

On top of that we learned that two of our marquis wins (Georgia and VT) were actually not that impressive as both teams lost to terrible football teams.

I think the hype train was finally derailed and I think we learned that nother only are our coaches not SEC quality but also we haven't recruited on the scale we needed to or coached the players up as is required in this league.

Barnett was the lone bright spot in an otherwise embarrassing game where we got exposed on offense, defense, special teams, and coaching.

In my opinion as long as Hurts is their QB, we are not breaking the streak against Bama.

Stop whining. We played 4 tough games in a row. We are two and two, with a great possibility we win out. Our team is tired mentally and physically. Complaining isn't going to help our team (maybe make you feel better), support them!

If Saban had Tennessee's talent on that field and Butch had Alabammer's then the Vols woulda won. :hi:

Well let me spin that around on you... Saban would never have a team as bad as UT or as many injured players and Butch can't recruit or coach a team as good as Bama.

Never said injuries didn't play a role. But injuries is not the reason we lost.

But having at least half of the 17 players that either missed the game entirely or got injured, would have made it more competitive. That is the truth. Would UT have won? Who knows. If the game was more competitive.....who knows how the ball bounces......

Lol. There's no way this is real. You're saying that Saban is so good that he has the power to prevent injuries therefore Butch isn't good because he cant. Can I get whatever you're on?

It's strength and conditioning. When is the last time Bama had as many injuries? Do you really believe that we got bit by the mythical injury bug? Everything happens for a reason. We are not the luckiest or the unluckiest team in football.

How much does strength and conditioning prevent concussions and getting rolled up on from behind?

Maybe then your family won't be so miserable from having to live in your miserable life.

May God bless and help you my friend.

So let me get this straight...you say injuries is not the reason we lost....so you fully expected us to win with 2nd,3rd, and 4th stringers filling in for our starters (14 starters out at one point)...Sounds like you've got a really high football IQ. Sounds like you're pissed over not getting your $600 worth!

Most people: "10-2, beat Florida, get to Atlanta and I'll be happy."

Beats Florida, 5-2, favored by more than 70% in the remaining five games.

"This is unacceptable. Butch is not doing his job. We're screwed."

I'm saying with zero injuries we still lose by 21 points. Yes. Our coaches got exposed in a big way. Well they only got exposed Saturday if you have no IQ at all. The rest of us saw them get exposed in week 1 and again against Georgia and again against Tamu.

None of these made a bit of difference huh? Their qb was playing on a great team against a depleted defense. The overreaction is comical. So is ignoring any possible reasons besides the ones made up in your head

1. JRM - shoulder, out for the year
2. Kirkland -- ankle, should be back hopefully in two weeks
3. Sutton - broken ankle, out 8 weeks or so. That would be second week of November. He hopes to get back to play this season. We will see if he can.
4. Weisman - concussion, should be back after the bye
5. McDowell - concussion, should be back after the bye
6. Foreman -- shoulder, should be back after the bye
8. Kendrick - ankle, should be back after the bye
9. Robertson - ankle, should be back after the bye
10. Chance Hall - leg, not sure if knee or ankle, not sure the extent
11. McKenzie -- shoulder, didn't return yesterday could miss extended time, we will see what further testing shows.
12. Vickers - ankle, should be back after the bye
13. Buchanan - shoulder, to be evaluated.
14. Evan Berry - limped off in second half, not sure the injury
15. Abernathy - hamstring, should be better in two weeks.
16. O'Brien - dismissed wont be back
17. Preston Williams - quit, wont be back
18. Jack Jones - torn ligaments in thumb. continued to play. will have or has had surgery

You can't try to reason with these fools. they completely ignore the fact that this same team gave Alabama probably their toughest game last year....with the same (or worse) coaches. Their anti-Butch agenda refuses to acknowledge that there are two main differences between this year's team and the teams of the past:

1. Last year, we would have lost most (if not all) of the games where we trailed by double digits, and
2. Injuries have DEVASTATED this team.

I'm not making excuses. We played like crap. I think we would probably have lost even if all of our players were healthy but it would definitely have been a competitive game.

CBJ is responsible for the grit & mental toughness of this team, which is one of the hardest things to accomplish in coaching. Period. I wonder if the CBJ haters have watched the last 10 years. How many times have we seen Fulmer, Kiffin, and Dooley teams just quit? Before this season, I wasn't sold on Butch, but you can't ignore wheat this team has shown this year.

Just let them continue to spew their anti-Butch garbage. Nothing will ever satisfy them and they will never acknowledge the good that has been done here. Even if we won a national championship, they would still b**ch and say that a good coach would have won three.

And another thing....this year, we played Alabama at the end of a brutal four game stretch. Last year, we played them after we had a bye. But that doesn't matter, I'm sure. Even with 18 injuries and having to burn a OL redshirt because of injuries, we still should have dominated, I guess. I mean, WE ARE TENNESSEE.

You appear to be a very miserable person. We should all pray for you!:ermm:

Goodness, he's just being realistic. This football team and whether it wins or not effects us in different ways, but some of us like to look at things objectively rather than being delusional.

Alabama absolutely destroyed Tennessee and it honestly should not have even been that close. That was the most lopsided game including Tennessee that I have ever witnessed, even through the Dooley years.

People like to use injuries as an excuse, but it is year 4 under CBJ. Inuries should not plague us like they have in recent years. Tennessee should not ever give up 438 rushing yards to Alabama, don't care how good they are or how awful we are.

So we do agree on one thing...if we had zero injuries..we would've still lost! Bama simply has superior talent (1-2 ranked recruiting classes every year!). So you're mad because we haven't done that?? Well tell me who has? Butch has improved our talent level tremendously..and that's a fact!

Injuries haven't plagued us like years past. We've been down some of our best players the entire season and we're 5-2. But the injuries have still kept coming past that. It just boiled over against the best team in the country.

Why is this so? Because we wear orange? Because the oxygen level in Knoxville is extremely low? Maybe because our turf is made of ball bearings?
