LOL Tennessee

They didn't burn them They put them in the adult section. If parents want their kids to read/see those books, they can escort them there to do so.

Calm down.
Nothing says "personal responsibility" quite like having the a library put kid's books in another section of the library because you're worried that someone else's kids might read them.

And the library director serves at the pleasure of the library board. She was fired for refusing to perform an action demanded by her boss. Same thing would happen to any of us if we openly defied our boss.
The director is an employee; not the master

There truly is no hate, quite like 'christian love'.
So, if you sincerely believed that homosexuality was a sin; would it be hateful or compassionate to try and prevent someone from enduring an eternity in hell?
I know you don’t believe that; but some people do. And would it not be the worst form of hate (for those individuals) to NOT say something?
Full disclosure; I do not think homosexuality is some „super sin“ that is worse than anything else. We all sin in one form or another; and a single sin is enough to condemn someone to hell; hence our need for a Savior

Says a huge proponent of the nanny state. 😂

Of course, 12 year olds in your world are old enough for sex and to determine if they need a sex change or an abortion, so....

Remind me where jesus told you to love your neighbor unless he was 'the gay' and then it was cool to hate them.

So you want the state parenting your kids for you, or do you just want the state parenting other people's kids for them?

You totally missed the point of my post I fear. Jesus would love gay people just the same as he would anyone else. But if you think Jesus‘ message was nothing but „love your neighbor; you have missed the other side of the coin „repent and sin no more“.
You are not really loving someone by allowing them to blindly keep doing things that will harm them spiritually if not physically.
Here is an example you might can relate to.

Do you love Donald Trump? The Bible says you should. But I bet you (rightfully) would encourage him to change his actions if you had the chance to speak with him.

Same way you would love your child while also telling them not to stick a fork in an electrical outlet.

Love without boundaries is effectively the opposite of love. If you love someone, you wish for their long term good; nor for their temporary happiness .
I hope I have explained my point better this time.

That's a lot of useless words to say 'jesus didn't say anything about gay people'.

Yeah. A library is a place where kids should have parental escort at all times. Can't have any kind of wholesomeness in their lives.

Is it liberating to admit that you want to state to parent your kids for you?

Why pay attention to the books your kid checks out from the public library that their grandmother takes them to if you don't have to, right?

They State shouldn't be grooming kids. I know you're in favor of this but it shouldn't happen

Okay, let me try it this way, Jesus never encountered anyone without requesting that they change something in their lives.
He wasn‘t a cosmic Mister Rogers just smiling and telling everyone that they were fine just the way they were.
He said „take up your cross and follow me“. That is usually interpreted to mean, put your own plans and worldview to death and follow my path for your life.
And frankly I don’t know why you keep bringing up gay people. They are not in some special category of sin bucket. Jesus would view homosexuality just the same as he would gluttony or covetousness. We are all sinners; myself included. Injustice happen to not be tempted by the particular of homosexuality; i am drawn to plenty of things that carry the same weight with God.
And a true Christian doesn‘t „hate“ gays. They just hope for their repentance just the same as I have to repent daily of my vices.
I myself really work at trying to hate no one (I am still not quite there with Lane Kiffin; but I’m working on it 😉)
And I do not hate you despite the rude way I often speak to you; which is not right and something that I am having to repent of myself. And i apologize to you for that glaring fault in my character
