it's happened to plenty of people. It's called maturing.

govols120, you are seriously on the side of leach? he made an idiotic decision to think he was above reproach in that situation and got what he deserved.

Adam James and his dad are crybabies. That "closet" is bigger than quite a few bedrooms.

The decision he made was pretty dumb, but to fire him for it is even worse. Firing the best coach in school history? They can have fun going 4-8 from now on.

the punishment, and more importantly the reaction to it by ESPN was laughable. but for leach to allow himself to be fired for basically not saying sorry is ridiculous IMO.

I failed the 6th grade and then went on to make very good grades the rest of my school days. I played sports in middle/high school also. My parents worked their arses off for the bare minimum the whole time also. My brother and I had to pay for our own shoes, equipment, etc.

It's just how bad you want it.

Don't they recomend dark, quiet surroundings for concussions , I think he just should have had a couch or something.

:eek:hmy:I've had plenty of parents with kids in elementary school sports tell me that coaches will actually try to tell them that holding thier kids back a grade or 2 in elementary school ( if super athletically talented ) would actually increase the kids chance of getting a scholarship to college once he graduates H.S. My sis had a coach ask her to do that for my nephew. She changed schools for the little guy lol. She notices though he is constantly playing against kids 2 years older then him from certain schools only. Its getting rediculous nowadays.

If I was him I would have been shocked to get fired for something like this considering the same administration hired a coach who got fired for choking one of his players...

Wait big time athletes at big time programs are not treated the same as other students? Am I missing something? This is all so new to me.

You expect him to be ashamed of his past?

You guys are going WAY past what WB was saying. You completely missed all sarcasim and a "jab" at people that think at an early age, kids even know what they like, much less what they want to do.

Keep in mind he "TWEETED" this.... It has no context, no pre-cursor, and No point.

Willie is funny and he is laughng his a$$ off at us for even worrying over it.

For what it's worth I only cared about "snack" and PE until I was 13, when it went away I realized what I was there for..... Call me stupid but it worked out in the end.

I know several people who failed kindergarten. At that age, it's usually more about the kid's maturity than anything else.

Maybe it was an elementary school grade. Also, I bet that helped him get noticed more easily as a football star. Playing with kids a year younger will do that for you.
I had to repeat Kindergarten because of "behavioral issues", and I grew up to be just fine. Graduated from UT in four years.
Just don't make fun of me about it or I'll stab you in the face with a soldering iron!
Sorry about that. They never really fixed my issues.
