LOL At Oregon's Stadium!!

Tennessee is the only school EVER to finish in the top 5 attendance of football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball in the same year. AND, TN has done this 6 times. This makes Tennessee sports the most watched university by a live audience of ANY other NCAA university.

Hmmm..........have a huge stadium or a BCS bowl game. I think I will take the bowl game right now. We sure need it. I am not laughing at anyone these days.

Yeah the atmosphere is so bad your qbs get rattled every time they play there. Wake me up when you get within double digits at Berkeley.

You mean, one time, one player said that the crowd got to him.

Now "digits" represent how much of a factor the crowd is? OK. So, what does it say about the Autzen crowd that Oregon mopped the floor with Cal to the tune of 42-3 last season?

As for our for our fanbase its far larger than oregons and travels in far larger numbers.

I'd be curious to see the actual numbers for this to get a better understanding of what "far larger" means in droski-speak.

I suspect that per capita, Oregon travels far better. We already know they attend better per capita at home.

Oregon's stadium is 50k because they don't have the fanbase to support a larger stadium.

Autzen has exceeded capacity for every game since 2002. Oregon obviously has the fan base to support a larger stadium.

On the other hand, Cal's stadium is 68k despite not having the fanbase to regularly fill it.

Our stadium holds over 30,000 more people. Is this really hard to understand? we had a higher attendance than oregon's stadium for our last 3 games against div 1aa opponents.

Lets do some math here:

California Memorial Stadium Capacity: 71,799
Autzen Stadium Capacity: 54,000

71,799 - 54,000 = 17,799

You're a little off with your 30k more people there. :clapping:

Also, where can we see what the attendance was for Cal's last 3 div 1aa games?

A couple more acorns for droski to work on, from a couple of the liars that say Autzen is a factor:

Less than 24 hours after returning from Minnesota, Tedford had already talked to his players about what awaits them on Saturday in Eugene, Ore. Oregon's Autzen Stadium is widely regarded as one of the loudest arenas in college football. In 2007, the Bears snapped a streak of 20 years during which they hadn't won a game there.

"Their fans are so educated that they're really prepared as far as when to make noise and when not to make noise," Tedford said. "You can quiet some crowds down if you score early and things like that. Not in Autzen. They're going to keep roaring the whole game, that's just the way they are."

Boateng Fractures Foot, Ross Flashes Big-Play Potential Against Minnesota - The Daily Californian

"The crowd noise is crazy up there," [Jahvid Best] said Wednesday. "Honestly, any other away game I don't even hear the crowd. Oregon was the only place where it really got on my nerves. ... It felt like it was 10 feet between the sideline and the crowd."

Best ready to make own noise at Autzen

Lets do some math here:

California Memorial Stadium Capacity: 71,799
Autzen Stadium Capacity: 54,000

71,799 - 54,000 = 17,799

in Droski's defense, you could add a few hundred people due to the freeloaders sitting up on that hill watching the game without tickets... :)

That doesn't surprise me much at all. Tennessee has typically been pretty good in all three sports year in and year out. But a word of caution, it would probably be possible for another school to pick three sports that they do well in and say the same thing. The reason I say this is that, women's basketball isn't considered a major sport at many universities.

Of course it isn't. How many universities are there in this country that do not and cannot field/support/embrace women's basketball, for various reasons? Many! Your statement isn't really a great enlightenment. Still, women's basketball is pretty big now, and getting bigger for the country as a whole. As exposure increases so does interest.

You want to know what's funny about this whole post? The thread starter, WRANGLER, who is making fun of Oregon's stadium and fans, posted this in November:

http://www.volnation.com/forum/tenn...op-ten-most-hostile-stadiums.html#post2910871

And guess who was number 1? Wait for it.......................OREGON.

Bleacher Report? Seriously they're less reputable than wikipedia for factual info. You need a pulse and a computer to write for them (and both are probably optional)

that isn't the point he was trying to make. he was saying that the same dude who is ragging on autzen also introduced an article about how loud it is. he wasn't saying the article was a good source or even using the article to argue anything but the OP's hypocrisy.

We need to rename this the Pee Wee Herman thread...apparently the ducks think their stadium is better, louder than Neyland...do not see how they can argue that...so now were are at track and field and womens basketball...whats next ducks..your mallard's neck is greener than a UT fans mallard? WTF?

The Oregon stadium is kinda like a male asian porn star. They do exist. But come on! Seriously? What's even the point.

Football field FAIL - Oregon. Can't Nike buy them something other than a kiddy field?

Thank you. Exactly my point. Thought it was obvious.
