Kiss 98.1 in Chattanooga, citing sources close to the university of TN's men's athletic department, says Lofton has suffered a torn fibula ligament and also has tendon damage. Preliminary reports say he will be out for the rest of the season. Not good news : (

But how could they know that so quickly? They couldn't tell that much damage without an MRI and wouldn't get the results back that quickly.

It definitely seems a bit too early to know anything for sure. I'll wait till I hear something official before worrying, but this would be a crushing loss for the Vols.

I have no idea unless they took him to the ER. I hope and pray its not as serious as they think, but having seen it ... i wouldn't be surprised if its not true

I'm going to try to stay level-headed and take this with a grain of salt...particularly because it's hard to believe that the breaking news on Lofton's injury is coming from KISS FM in Chattanooga! I'll hope and pray that the official word is much more positive than this...

Was he on the bench for the rest of the game or did they take him to the lockerroom? I am sure the UT Medical staff has ways to find some stuff out.

He was carried off the court by two teammates.. Sit on the bench for a few.. and was carried to the locker room and didn't return to the court

Knoxville news reporting anything? 98.1 got a doctor on staff. Too early to tell. Such detail to early to be that accurate watch knoxville news then posts info.

Volstylexx was trying to diagnose lofton two minutes after it happened. I don't trust this news one bit. He just shows up tonight posting in the game thread and suddenly he knows info that no one in upper east TN knows? I don't buy it.
