Lofton Doubtful for Wednesday.

He should wait for Florida, but if we win it will take more than Loftons return, it will be one hell of an effort. Are you goin to a bar to watch the game or at the house?

Undecided but probably at home. You make any progress on tix? Should be a wild atmosphere!

If ya go to an Orlando bar I might join ya. Goin to the game might get expensive but it would be fun.

If they sweep us in basketball this year, that means we upset them at the Swamp again (reverse order).I'll take that.Actually, I'd bet even money on it.

Two things:

First, I happen to like the University of Tennessee. Yes, I love my Gators, but I am rooting for you guys to get it together and make the tournament. For one, I like Pearl a lot. And I like the competition.

I live in Orlando and have watched the whole Grant Hill saga and the Dolphins' QB woes for the past year. Bringing people with injuries back too soon costs you in the long run and a whole lot more than just the additional games they miss -- it leads to resentment and finger-pointing.

Second, I don't give a rat's-azz whether Lofton plays against Florida. My feeling is that the Gators would smoke UT this Saturday even if you had three Lofton's at full strength because you have NO INSIDE GAME. At all. None. Zilch.

In fact now I want you to have Lofton back for the Saturday game. Will savor the victory all the more.

Go ye Mighty Gators.

:salute:

I hope you have to eat your words come Saturday night.:p The way we are playing right now, it is hard to believe that we can keep it close with you all. But, I will say this, if we have a healthy Lofton and Dane is in the building you better believe we will make it a game. I think a 34 point blowout is a little bold of a prediction considering we swept you last season. Don't ya think? It will be the toughest game we play all season and if we lose, there is no way UF wins by more than 20. Mark it down, this game is decided by less than 10. Looking forward to the game!

Florida 84
UT 50

Not kidding. Should be blow-out City!! And now I REALLY want you to keep Lofton out tomorrow and bring him back at 100 % on Saturday because if he does not play versus Florida then I'll have ot listen to all the "what ifs" on here.

100%? Lofton probably won't be 100% at any point during the remainder of this season. This is not an injury that a basketball player can just get over. It's going to have an effect the rest of the year.

The excuses begin ...

Haha. It's not excuse because I think UT will lose even if Lofton plays, but if you actually think that he's going to be 100% again this season, you've never been a basketball player with an injured ankle. It's just not going to happen.

If you can use excuses like Florida just wasn't motivated last year when UT beat them TWICE, then UT fans can sure as hell use the excuse that Lofton, our best player, is not 100%.

The latest report says that the ankle ligaments are in good shape, but he has a bone bruise. Those dont tipically heal that quickly. Info provided by Dave Hooker this am.

Are you in reality Phil "I'm not going to use this as an excuse but ..." Fulmer?

You are the last person that should be calling people on using excuses. Between UF players not having motivation enough to beat a rival and Brewer having mono, you pretty much have the excuse thing covered.

What is wrong with having a Gator? Even if we disagree, it sure makes everything more interesting.

never got around to saying this...but.....find a Florida forum.

if you surround yourself only with people who agree with you, the conversation gets boring real quick.

besides, LG is a class-act among UF fans and is actually articulate. Plus when UT deserves props, he's among the first to give them.

Lofton Doubtful for Wednesday

It's gonna be tough to win without him vs. Georgia, but even if he comes back tonight, it's gonna be tough for him on the defensive end. Georgia has some pretty good guards with Gaines, Stukes, and Mercer. Hopefully the team will react positively to being back at home, and hopefully the crowd will really come out and show them their support.

If he can't go tonight, then I don't think that I would play him Saturday at Florida, either. They should try to get him ready to go for the 3-game homestand that starts Tuesday night with LSU.
