Lofton Cut

The shooters didn't look as good at tryouts because of the international ball. At least that's what Lofton said. I'm guessing that had an impact on the fact that the players they took were all big.

The fact here is that Byron Scott was not a very fair comparison to Chris Lofton. The thread went downhill from there.

Is Chris Loften the next Craig Hodges, is the better comparison?

that's a decent comparison. some people on here will claim that hodges would have averaged 30 pts a game, had he played for the clippers.

How many guys from Memphis are in the NBA?

I'll take Bernard King over any Memphis product including Hardaway.

I've interviewed him several times and while I am 6 feet flat, he's got about an inch on me. There's no way he's 5'10.

Are you a journalist, UTLCA? Faint memory says you might be a producer for local TV?

:birgits_giggle:THATS TO BAD

JOEY DORSEY MADE IT
He must have worked hard this summer, because he looked like GARBAGE against us. All I remember is him whining and crying the whole game. I thought I was gonna have to come out and give him a tissue. :cray:

MORE LIKE TONY HARRIS . DONE AFTER COLLEGE.

:birgits_giggle: Evidently you Chris Lofton pundits don't know a dang thing about basketball talent. Lofton will be a star in the NBA. He can score against anybody....and isn't that what the NBA is all about? No Defense....just run and gun?...THAT'S RIGHT UP HIS ALLEY!. I think Kentucky and Louisville said the same thing about Lofton! I bet THEY think he can play! So all of you nay sayers just go back in your hole and shut up! You just don't know what in the he77 you are talking about!

I consider Lofton one of the top 3 players in the country but I don't think he will do well in the NBA. His game really reminds me of Redick when he was a senior and learned to drive more often.

I don't watch the NBA at all but I don't think JJ was a star at the NBA level.

 Did you guys see the Texas game? He was scoring everywhere against 6'9" forwards. I will be very surprised if he doesn't go in the first round! Lofton will be first team All-American this year and will have a stellar NBA career.:clapping:

I'm a Lofton fan, and I believe he will be a 1st team all american this year in college. I also believe that he will have about a 5 year NBA career. He's just not athletic enough. It's possible that he will become a bench "shooter" but that's really not a possibility either because so many bench players are just pure defenders (aka guys who just sub in order to foul).

I HOPE he goes into the NBA and scores 50 points per game, but that's not likely at all.

Not all great college player = NBA stars

I agree with Mullet.....NBA bench player......not that there's anything wrong with that.
