I had heard somewhere that whoever were to get Loeffler, the qb coach at UM, that there was a good possibility of also getting Ryan Mallett, the freshman qb at UM since he wasn't a good fit for the spread offense. If anyone could shed some light on this for me and if we actually have a shot at getting this I would really appreciate it

Why are so many people content with rummaging through Michigan's old coaching staff?

I don't know what you guys want as far as position coaches. I think Loeffler and Drayton would be great choices. I suppose I'm in the minority here.

I want the OC to have the option of putting his own guys in place.

This is generally the issue. Many here don't want the HC we have.

However, to think an OC would not have to answer to the HC on his staffing decisions is unrealistic.

answering to the HC vs. having the HC put them in place are two entirely different worlds.

I would like for the new oc to make his own choices as to who he wants as position coaches.
Phil hiring guys before we have the oc in place gives me a bad vibe about the whole thing.
Now the new oc may want this guy but let him make that decision not phil.

Put Campbell in their as WR coach and I think we have some pretty good position coaches.
