Loads of interest in Heupel/Golesh is a GOOD thing

we are not even done with the season and already Josh Heupel and Alex Golesh are being targeted by multiple teams to fill open spots. this is the firat time in 16 years anyone else in the country has given a sh!t about a Tennessee coach. let that sink in and realize this is a good problem.

to be clear I don't expect Heupel to go anywhere. but always remember that if nobody else is interested in your coach the. you shouldn't be either!

GBšŸŠ!
Yeah having a good coach is like having a hot girlfriend….others guys are gonna try to steal your girl. But you wouldn’t want to date an ugly chick just to keep guys away from her. The perks of having a hot chick is other ppl want her. Same with coaching.

Coach Huep is our hot chick. And I’m fine with that. She can go hangin with her girlfriends on girls night and I won’t get too jealous…..I hope. I need therapy.

But most of all we need Jesus. Go Vols!

We will find out , but I’m not going to believe what some random writer puts out there as a guess. Im sure they’re going to shoot very high and call guys like Saban and probably get shot down and go from there. Heupel hasn’t done enough to be a first tier candidate there and they certainly aren’t going to pay him over $10 million.
Weā€˜re talking about the same LSU that hired a padestrian Les Miles from OK State? That hired Oregreon? That hired a failed Brian Kelly? Come on man. Their histroy refutes all that you just said.

Literally nothing you write refutes what I wrote. Nine if that proves LSU would offer Heupel 10 million plus even if they came after him.
Nothing you wrote proves that LSU has him on their ā€œhot boardā€. Some writer out him on his hot board.
They were kinda stuck with Orgeron.I recall Brian Kelly taking ND to the national title game, idk. Seems your grasp of history ain’t that good. . He was a bad for at LSU but he was a very successful coach.

You're also not getting that this hire at LSU isnt the same as it was when they hired Miles. The pressure is on in a much bigger way now. We aren’t talking about the ā€œsame LSUā€. We aren’t even talking about the same college football. Everything is different. You thought you cooked with the Les Miles thing though didnt you?

How many national championships did Kelly win? My point was and is they hire for fit and have historically shown they will take risks on coaches. More than one source is saying Heupel is on their radar. We won’t know much unless his agent shows interest. We aren’t in the back room for any of this so it is all assumption and discussions.

My grasp on history is fine. It’s nbd we just disagree. I think Heupel is a good coach and one of the better in the nation. He took a mediocre football program in the SEC and made it relevant much faster than expected. Pulled in top talent and continues to improve.

My bad. I misunderstood. I got you now.

Still, it’s not happening. Im not sure Heupel is a good fit either, tbh.

ā€œMore than one sourceā€ is a writer who says he’s guessing and a VN poster who said a former LSU player told him. No real source has said that. LSU isnt coming after him. If they do, then so be it because he shouldn’t get another dime until he wins something here.
