Was this guy any good?
From the stats he's accumulated/depth chart, he looks like a rotational player in their secondary. Has gotten decent playing time, but not a starter/every-down player. Listed as a safety and is listed on the depth chart as a second-string star.

This will be his second time transferring. He left Mizzou, at least in part, once he figured out it snowed there. No s**t.

Can someone help me understand something, please. This is not a passive-aggressive question nor a rhetorical question.
Mullen and Stricklin did well (or well enough) at Mississippi State. I believe they recruited well too. So, why did it all fall apart at Florida? It seems too simple to say that Mullen got lazy. Is there more to the story is it that simple? Calling @Jaws, @Lawrence Wright, and/or @lawgator1.

Mullen got lazy and was too loyal to assistant coaches like Grantham and Hevesy, who the players absolutely loathed…Grantham in particular. You can get away with a couple 5-6 win seasons at Mississippi State…UF, not so much.

When Mullen said he would “worry about recruiting after the season” following that blowout loss to UGA, he was all but admitting the job was too big for him. Great offensive mind and play caller, poor recruiter and CEO of a major CFB program.

Speaking of CEOs, our AD is a severe downgrade from Jeremy Foley. For the first time in a very long time, UF has subpar leadership at top.

Thank you for the reply. Sometimes I am a little slow, but I think I understand: Lazy recruiting, coaches recruits didn't feel good about, and unfortunate comments at a bad time.
It seems that Stricklin is a step down from Foley. How long will Stricklin last is Napier fails?
I appreciate your reply, and 0-12.

Stricklin is free to go anytime.

Jury is out on Napier. Recruiting is going well, but last Thursday night was not his finest hour as a coach.

If Napier doesn't work out, Stricklin shouldn't be far behind.

Foley was a good AD, but his last 2 football coach hires weren't good either. Didn't Foley also hire Mike White?

Probably didn't receive all of the promised NIL money.

Also, realized the stinkin' gators are gonna get tuned up by most of their SEC opponents and Sunbelt Billy will be gone by the end of the year.

Here's my problem, LW:

I cannot stand UF. Hate is such a strong word, and we should use it very sparingly...so I cannot stand UF, when it comes to sports. Granted, Spurrier and a 20-year road losing streak will do that to you. So I think you get me there.

Then there's UF Health. The UF Health System. Including UF Jax. The trauma center. Over my 23 years as a peace officer in LSG (Lower Slower Georgia), I have lost count of the times we called for LifeFlight or TraumaOne to fly a patient to UF-Jax. And over those same years, I learned a very powerful lesson: If you are alive going into the ER / Trauma Center, you will most likely survive that helo flight / squad ride. I learned to love UF-Jax. Especially when they saved two of our own. I took a tour of that trauma center once, years ago, and I was blown away. Those folks being 'em back from dead every day. Color me impressed.

So while I hope UF football goes 4-8 for the next 100 years, and UF's next Natty is in Co-ed Transgender Team Dance Badminton...deep down, I have this secret, cannot-admit, love for UF. Well, UF Health. They save lives. Including two that were very, very. important to me. This is why tease you I will, but lord it over you I cannot.

You get it. Don't take advantage of it. At the end of the day, you're still a Gator, and I'm a VFL.

Go Vols.

4-8.

He could have been dismissed but he chose to announce his transfer first.

If you’re talking about the UF Health Trauma Center off I-95 and 8th Street in Jacksonville, that’s not too far from where I grew up.

It was University Hospital back in the day.

I loathe USC (Trojans), but we may be on the verge of going out there for what may be a life changing/saving surgery for my wife. Just talking with the Dr on the phone, and him encouraging her to not give up, kinda makes you feel a little different.

I’m sending my sincere best wishes and prayers to your wife, you, and your family.🙏 I assume she will be in the best of hands out there. I don’t know the situation but I’ve always heard that they have some of the best medical minds in the world and cutting edge technology. May God bless you, your wife, and family and help guide you through this.
