Living vicariously through the Tide

I can understand not being able to utter the words"roll tide", but if you can't pull for a certain team just because you don't like them when it could help our Vols, then your simply an unintelligent football fan.

I know I'm Getting old but I remember being a freshman in college thinking I cold go home because Fla wasn't a game. With out going to Google I'm gonna say we won that one 40 to 7. It was Stevie's 1st game as there coach. I'm 43 now so it can't be 30 years. I am real tired though and I'm often proven wrong.

Did I mention I also have ADD

I got that, with a "H" added to it. ADHD.

We have a long way to go to be able to compete with the likes of Bama. Hate to agree with the OP, but im in awe of the tide. I watch and just wonder if we will ever be as good and well coached as they are. Hope DD is the one that can get it done.

Cannot use that term. Will never, ever say it. But I'm glad UF is losing. On the negative side, Bama will absolutely destroy us. I hope not, but reality is tough to ignore.

It only helps Tn with a fla lost and I hope Bama beats them by 40 and Im so glad Muspunk isnt on our sidelines. He is a POS
We should always pull for a western SEC team to beat an eastern, as it helps us. So, I have to pull for Bamer in those games.

Mushamp looks like he is already thinking about how he is going to explain this to the media, & his fans. That is whenever Saban gets done having his way with them. Literally.

I wouldn't root for ala-stinkin'-bama under any scenario; I don't care what the situation is. bammer can lose every game it ever plays 127-0 and that wouldn't be good enough for me.

We should root for ANY scenario that helps the Vols...and right now, this one does. It ain't about liking Alabama. Its about needing Florida to lose. Kind of like the Red Sox having to pull for the Yankees the other night. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Why are announcers so stupid? I forget their damn names, but one of them basically said we have a chance against Bama if Hunter is back. The other informed him that JASON Hunter was out for the season. They announce football for a living. You'd think they would take a little time to know what they're talking about.

Fla has -17 yds rushing, that means we will have -50.Is that possible ?

Not saying that won't happen but we have a qb who can actually stretch the field. So no I think we will run it half way decent. Florida is just having a huge case of identity crisis. All they can do is run run run. Alabama is doing what I wished we would have and just made Brantley try to beat us with his arm. But I'm now CJW so whaddoiknow?

UT had a good day in the standings today with USCjr and UF losing. Got a chance to hand UGA their second loss next week, and if UF loses again (which they should) the east really opens back up.

UF losing is cool, but I didn't and never will root for Bama.

Muschamp had no class in beating us so I took enjoyment in their ass whippin. I do not look forward to the Bama game at all. I'm just hoping we keep Bray in one piece.

Personally, I would rather see Florida lose than see Alabama win.

"roll tide roll
around the bowl and down the hole
roll tide roll"

this is what i heard the penn state fans chanting at the 1979 sugar bowl
or rather the first time i had heard it

i still sing it every now and then when i'm around a certain bama fan i know
