First of all...my hat is once again off to the defense because, as usual, they lived on the field tonight. Take away the interception return and the four-yard USC drive as a result of the fumble return, the score was 13-6. And we had a couple really good chances, or more, but this year that is all they are...chances, to score.

Secondly, I am just embarassed by our total ineptness and inability on the offensive side of the ball. I have watched my Vols for 45 years and NEVER...NEVER...NEVER...have I seen such a sorry offensive effort.

This will be the first Homecoming game I have missed in a bunch of years but I just cannot go...goin' to the outer banks in North Carolina to visit my son. I cannot go into that stadium in good faith knowing what all our previous players have accomplished on that field and allowing that to sink to the depths we now tolerate.

I still appreciate Phil Fulmer the man for a lot of things but it is time for him to be fair to himself and the program and step aside to allow new blood and enthusiasm to revamp the program before we get to a point where it will take years to get things back in order.

It is a sad day in my heart and I feel totally helpless to do or say anything more!!!

Last time I was there, I about froze to death...and it was in November.

I don't understand why CPF keeps putting himself through this...I really don't think he can get things back in order.

Why would he wait until he alienates practically everyone before he bows out...go now so he can at least have a little bit of support as he goes.

Seriously, it is the first time in my life that I believe we will lose to KY and VU. I believed we could still win even if Ainge was intercepted in OT last year. I believed we could still win when our chance to beat UV in 2005 came down to a 4th down, and our QB was Rick Clausen.

Any team that can put 10-13 points can beat Tennessee regardless of their defense. Wyoming, Ky, VU are fully capable of doing that.

i haven't paid much attention to kentucky, is it possible for the win streak against them ending this year?

See, that's a major point...when an opponent puts a couple TDs and a field goal up on us, games over pretty much...! Or even less...

It really is 2005 all over again. No qb to take charge. Except the 2005 team would mop the field with these guys.
