M White will not visit now. Said he will visit UT after the season.

Marquez White, three-star cornerback and Florida State commitment from Northview High School in Dothan, Ala., was scheduled to visit Tennessee for the first time this weekend. He will not make the trip. He does plan to visit the Volunteers after his senior season

Question for anyone with more of an idea on this...

Something we haven't seen from this staff is taking early committments from future recruiting classes. I'm curious in regards to the current staffs views on taking '14 committments. Is it more due to staff stability issues or is this their general philosophy to wait till closer to/after signing day?

I would love to see us finish the season strong and get a early start on the '14 class with some solid prospects. We have some great ones visiting this weekend thats for sure.

I have seen UT mentioned with alot of 14 recruits already. Especially with some of the big names saying UT is coming hard. I think CDD would take certian ones if they wanted to commit but others just like UA wait and see. UA has only 1 commit for 2014.

The Kinlaw kid would be a great start to the class would be nice to start off with an elite running back for the 2014 class.

Liner will be here for one reason - to keep an eye on Lawson.

Crayton and Lawson would be just nasty for other qbs facing agains UTs Defense in the future full court press on those two. I don't think we actually have a shot with Liner but we will see.

I'm pretty stoked about this list. We could become the most powerful team in the country if we came out and shocked bama and pull off the upset. Would provide tons of hype with these kids.

One thing to note, the Vols have a lot of early offers out to '14 kids. In the past, this has not been the case and people have complained that we are not getting in on kids early enough. Because the staff has been here for a few years now, they are ahead in evaluations and relationships with future classes. One of the benefits of having staff continuity.

Great post OCI. This is something I've tried to say for awhile now as something that hurt cdd and staff in the first few yrs. His current leaders are guys he either had a short time to seal up or a yr to get them committed. tough to really build that relasonship with the kids and family's in such short time. Helps make sure they truly like and respect him when on campus. This is important.

The people who are bashing the coaching staff have no clue what it takes to build a football program from the rocks. The current staff is way ahead of where they were three years ago and the players who are being recruited for 2014 are by far better than those who have been recruited during the last 6-7 years. If the current staff is let go, our program will revert back to where it was in 2011 and 2010. We can not afford to cut the head off a growing program. Get with the program and support Dooley and his staff until the his program is at least 4 years old. Those who expect that the program can be rebuild can be compared to an over zealous first time parent who expect their child to begin walking and talking when the child is only 3 months old. Those fans slao remind me of many of the younger generation who expect to earn $100,000/ on their first job. It is time for those spoiled brats to grow up and get a dose of reality.
