Actually I think we were the 11 seed. It's marked with a cross next to Tennessee and below the table it says

† Not an upset strictly according to seeding, as the victory was against a lower-seeded opponent

EDIT: Looked at the wrong listing of Tennessee on that page; I was looking at the list of upsets by an 11 seed in the round of 32.

Yeah, everyone knew a 16 was gonna take out a 1 one of these days but to see it happen by a 20 pt blowout was eyebrow raising.

Yeah, I mis-read that......... Thought the loser was listed first and couldn't see the headers. Guess that's why I didn't remember it LOL :eek:

The Virg loss last year certainly the biggest upset ever...... that I have seen.

But the biggest set of upsets and best run I have ever seen and prob the best/coolest non football thing I have seen (in sports) was NC ST in 1983.

Heck they were 17-10 entering their conference tourney. They had to beat a Jordan led UNC team and a Samson led Virg team just to make the tourney. And in the tourney they had to beat a 2 seed and 2 1 seed teams..... and all three of those had future ncaa and nba hall of famers on their teams...... and one had 2 on theirs with 3 first rounders.

Speaking of upsets I think Murray State beats Marquette in the 1st round and Maryland beats LSU in the 2nd round of this year's NCAA Tournament.
